A Hunger Games star sets the record straight about a rivalry with Twilight. Hey there, I'm Karli Bulnes and we've got Josh Hutcherson's take on both popular franchises in today's PopSugar Rush. "Is there any truth that the cast of the Hunger games has it out for the cast of Twilight?/Not whatsoever those are vampires and werewolves we are human beings we stand no chance, we are completely defenseless." Josh Hutcherson squashed any talk of the Hunger Games cast competing with the Twilight stars when he called in to Ryan Seacrest's radio show on Friday. It's easy to see why some have compared the two film franchises — both began as book series and both have a huge fan following among teens and beyond, but that's where the similarities stop according to Liam Hemsworth, who recently spoke with moviefone. "The only way The Hunger Games franchise is similar to Twilight is that it does have this huge audience, this huge fan base but you know it's a very different story." Twilight's Ashley Greene has even commented on the comparisons, saying . . . "it's unfair to the actors to put that much pressure on them," though she does hope the Hunger Games movies achieve the success of the Twilight saga. Katniss Everdeen herself, however, isn't interested in that level of fame, telling Glamour UK that she'd never want to be as famous as Kristen Stewart. And speaking of Jennifer Lawrence, brand new footage from the film shows off Katniss's sass in that amazing scene when she shocks the trainers with her sharp archery skills. The Hunger Games comes out in just three weeks!
