The usually glamorous Julianne Moore is nearly unrecognizable in her role as Carrie's mother in the upcoming movie version of Stephen King's classic tale. We caught up with Julianne at a press day for the film, where she talked with us about why she loved tackling the complex, unkempt — and oftentimes downright frightening — character. She also chatted with us about motherhood both on and off screen. Julianne will next tackle the role of President Alma Coin in Mockingjay and told us the story of how her son and daughter were her first introduction to the world of The Hunger Games. Carrie hits theaters on Oct. 18.
