Kate also revealed her true thoughts on plastic surgery and if she'd ever do Broadway. Keep reading for more from the cover story, and pick up her issue of InStyle on newsstands June 13.
- On former boyfriends Alex Rodriguez and Lance Armstrong doping: "I was as shocked as anyone. But I personally think that you make the choices you make, and you should reap the consequences. People have a right to [feel betrayed]. Lance and Alex are phenomenal athletes who have made some bad choices and let a lot of people down. It's a decision they made for themselves, and they've got to loathe it."
- On being judged while in the public eye: "The negativity is just so vast. Will everybody stop being so damned judgmental? If someone wants to go get butt implants, then sure, go get butt implants. The real question is how do they treat the person next to them? Are they a-holes, or are they awesome?"
- On doing Broadway: "No question about it — I'd love to do it at some point in my life. I'm always looking. I'd love to do a musical. It'd be nice to do an original, but if a revival came along, I'd do that, too. I'd also do something more dramatic, if it felt like the right kind of project."
- On her mother, Goldie Hawn: "My mom was a trailblazer. She was one of the first women after Katharine Hepburn to produce her own films. She had this extremely fascinating public image, but behind the scenes there was a real, persevering strength — wanting to get things done, fighting for what she believed in, and being successful with it."
