It's Good Friday over in Australia, and the Easter weekend celebrations are already getting under way, especially for our favorite royal couple. The first of the day's events took the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge to the Royal Easter Show, an annual event that takes place in Olympic Park and attracts almost a million spectators. The event involves a celebration of the country's rural traditions, and Kate Middleton and Prince William got to witness a shearing demonstration. Kate also shared a moment with one of the rams at the show, named Fred.
After the event, the two headed to Manly, a suburb just outside of Sydney. The couple visited Bear Cottage, a hospice care center that specializes in the treatment of children with life-limiting conditions. Kate also got some one-on-one time with the children. From Bear Cottage, Kate and Will headed to Manly Beach, where they watched volunteer lifeguards train, inspected a surfboard, and Kate even got her own Baywatch moment when she ran across the sand in her towering wedges!
The previous day's excursions included Kate and Will's visit to the Blue Mountains, where they met with the families affected by devastating brush fires in the area. Despite the gorgeous views and the adorable puppies, Prince George seems to be remaining a tough customer. That's OK, though, we'll take him any way we can!
