Kate Moss is Model of the Year

In case you ever had any doubt that Kate had made a recovery from her cocaine scandal last year, we can now officially say she is beyond that saga. She is the face of a record number of ads, the most influential celeb in the world, and now has been named Model of the Year. We love a good comeback, but not everyone is thrilled that Kate was crowned with this title. Kate really is never free from controversy. Here's more:

"I think it's a bad reflection on the world of fashion," said Jane Ennis, editor of celebrity magazine Now. "The fact that she has become an even bigger icon since getting into all this trouble is fantastically decadent. Sometimes commercial interests should be set aside to look at the wider picture."

George Ruston, director of Hope UK, a drug education charity in Britain, called the award "unhelpful" and said advertisers were as much to blame as Moss. But he added that for every young person who looks up to Moss as a role model, many do not, and the problems of alcohol, tobacco and cannabis abuse are worse than that of cocaine.

We are so thrilled Kate was named model of the year - her comeback is fabulous! Congrats to Kate!

i dont think anyone cares of your bored of seeing her face. its her face that all the top desighners want. modeling has nothing to do with being a role model, modeling is being good at modeling and as far as kate is concerned she is THE BEST model out there. shes been doing this longer than 3/4 of the models out there. why is no one making sense, EVERY OTHER CELEB out there takes drugs, from lindsay lohanto nicole ritchie, they just havent been caught yet. so please get over this stupid cocaine story, shes an amazing model, she does amazing ads, therefore she gets model of the year, makes sense to me. (and to ALL the people that choose her as model of the year)

I am so bored of turning every page of every fashion magazine and staring at her. Yes, she's beautiful, but it has gotten to the point where I no longer see what she's advertising and just see her (ho hum) and turn the page. I don't think she holds that much attraction for women in terms of advertising anymomre.

I absolutely cannot stand Kate Moss. While I have to admit that she is a good model, I think she is a horrible role model. What's worse is that she has a child and lives this absolutely reckless life style and is rewarded for it. I just find her absolutely disgusting. Most British seem to absolutely adore her as well as the Irish (I live in Ireland) and I find that terribly annoying. What is the big deal? Arrgh!!!

Don't get me wrong, I love gossip just as much as the rest of you, but doesn't it seem odd that everyone is so upset over the actions of a woman who most of us will never meet, let alone personally know. More than likely, the whole episode was a media manipulation constructed to get Kate free publicity. We really should be focusing our energy on more important global issues, but it is entertaining.

When her personal choices are made in public, it becomes public business.

I love Kate. She is gorgeous. As for the cocaine scandal, her personal life is none of our business. Besides, who is so naive to believe that almost all models do not use at least one narcotic or another?

She is the worst role model ever. Ugh.

Kate Moss is a disgrace. And it's true, her range of poses and facial expressions is very limited for such a high profile model. But I give most young girls credit...I'm positive that any smart girl will realize that Kate Moss and her dangerous lifestyle are not worth emulating.
