The Story of Kristen Bell and Dax Shepard's Weird Date Will Make You Love Them More Than Ever

It basically goes without saying that Kristen Bell and Dax Shepard are one of Hollywood's most relatable couples. No matter how famous the proud parents of daughters Lincoln, 3, and Delta, 1, have gotten, the pair have always come off as family-oriented, grounded, and hilarious, making them the perfect fit for a series of adorable new commercials for the high-tech Samsung Family Hub refrigerator. POPSUGAR recently spoke to Kristen and Dax about how they stay sane, their weirdest date ever, and the other man in Kristen's life: Jon Snow.

Dax Shepard: When we first started dating, I said, "Sky's the limit, what would be a perfect Valentine's Day for you?" and she said, "Ripley's Believe It or Not." And I said, "That really corny wax museum?!" So we went, and unbeknownst to us, we were being followed by paparazzi, and I definitely picked my nose, and got a photo taken of me. That was the photo that hit the internet. Us walking into Ripley's Believe It or Not, with my finger up my nose. Super romantic.

Kristen Bell: It was an amazing Valentine's Day! I have so much nostalgia for those museums. I went with my mom whenever I could as a kid and I was always fascinated by them, and I had always wanted to go in LA. And you know, these days, with the things you see on the internet . . . it's all pretty believable, unfortunately.

DS: It might have been 40 years past an update or a remodel, but mostly it was just funny because, of all places, that's what she wanted to do.

DS: Probably most often what we do to unwind is just have friends over. We have a lot of friends with kids, so usually if we're not working we eat dinner and hang out outside.

KB: Small social dinner gatherings. Life currently feels like there's so many people involved, so we create an intimacy with our friends. Once or twice a week we'll have another family over, or a couple over, and really just sit and talk and cook and communicate. It's much more intimate. Also, I think just cuddling and binge-watching a show with my hubby.

DS: That's our gin and tonic.

KB: It is. Especially when I don't get to see him during the day. Like, when I was doing Bad Moms, I was on a different set. We're lucky enough to be able to get to work together a lot, like it's always a joy to do these Samsung commercials because we get to spend the whole day together. Dax just directed Chips at Warner Brothers, and I was lucky enough to get a role in that, so we got to work together there as well. We certainly enjoy working together.

KB: I have a wonderful support system. My sister helps me with the kids, I have a very involved husband, so I'm not doing it alone. It's funny, because sometimes when I'm exhausted at the end of the day, I think, "Man, single mothers are superheroes." They're superheroes. I could not imagine having to do all of this by myself. I have so much respect for single mothers.

DS: I'm gonna get a phone call one day from Kristen and it's gonna say, "I don't know quite how to say this, but I am with Jon Snow at a Marriott," to which I'll reply, "Sweet, Khaleesi and I will give you guys a ring when we're finished up," and we're all just gonna have to deal with that as a family.
