Kristen Stewart Reveals Why Her Relationship With Robert Pattinson Grossed Her Out

Kristen Stewart looks stunning on the cover of T magazine's Aug. 21 Women's Fashion issue, but it's what she says in her accompanying interview that's really eye-catching. The Café Society actress, who has been in an on-again, off-again romance with Alicia Cargile since 2015, touched on a subject that she's rarely ever talked about: her former (and highly publicized) relationship with Robert Pattinson. "People wanted me and Rob to be together so badly that our relationship was made into a product," she explained. "It wasn't real life anymore. And that was gross to me. It's not that I want to hide who I am or hide anything I'm doing in my life. It's that I don't want to become a part of a story for entertainment value." Kristen and Rob began dating after meeting on the set of the Twilight franchise but eventually split in 2013 following her cheating scandal with her Snow White and the Huntsman director, Rupert Sanders.

Kristen also talked about why she's chosen to be more open about dating Alicia, saying, "I would never talk about any of my relationships before, but once I started dating girls it seemed like there was an opportunity to represent something really positive. I still want to protect my personal life, but I don't want to seem like I'm protecting the idea, so that does sort of feel like I owe something to people."
