"So someone should tell Lindsey that if we want advice about beer bongs, cocaine, or leggings then we(the public) would ask her." Cheytown - I love it! That is really the only advice that Ms. Lohan should be spewing out from Hollywood. Until she gets the facts straight on Sarah Palin, she should keep the pie hole shut. No more political blathering from people who have no idea what they are talking about, please!!!!!!! Sarah Palin Kicks Ass!

cheytown, I've been to ANWR before, so there's at least one visitor you can add to your tally. I get what you're saying about Alaskans, but ANWR is a national park... which means it belongs to ALL Americans. Even if someone has never visited, they still have every right to protect and discuss the future of such a park. Just because someone has never been to the Grand Canyon doesn't mean they can't be against, say, building a giant futuristic bridge across it. (Bad example, but just trying to say that the fact that LL has never visited ANWR has nothing to do with conservationism.)

"I don't know what to think about this. On the one hand, she has a right to express her views. On the other, it's kind of like Heidi Montag wearing Chanel. I want to e-bay my Chanel collection because the brand has been so damaged by her constant endorsement of it." HAha i agree with that! Although I don't have any Chanels, when i see jessica simpson or Heidi wearing LVs it makes me a tiny bit less happy about my LVs. At the same time, i remind myself that i am voting for Obama for many reasons, and if dumb people also vote for him, so much the better. matt damon made me cringe too, since he (unknowingly) used false info to insult Palin. The passport thing is not a bad point though, imo. America's issues most refinitley go beyond its borders and i don't think it is reasonable to assume that she can just 'cram' before she goes into office, and is 2nd in line for the most powerful position in the world.

Ok it is time to set the record straight concerning, the drilling in our "protected lands". First I think it is funny that Lohan says she should drill in her own backyard, thats basically what she wants to do, and since I know that Lindsey Lohan has never been to Alaska or these "protected lands," then she should shut her mouth when it comes to something she knows nothing about, its not like she will visit or hold a protest against or even knows the name of this "protected land." It's called ANWR, and while I am not for Sarah- I do agree with the drilling, I have worked on the slope, I have seen how protected the animals and the land are. The fines are severe as well as loss of job for not complying with these rules and there are people fired everyday because of it, they are stongly enforced. Environmental agencies have no issues with how the pipeline is run, so why would they have an issue with how ANWR is drilled, the sames rules, regulations, and consequences would be in place. If anything we Alaskans have more knowledge of wether or not this is a good thing or not and since most of the state if for drilling, that should be a sign. Yes there is the argument what about the visitors? Yeah what about them, they total 0, the workers and scientists that visit there, total less than 100. So someone should tell Lindsey that if we want advice about beer bongs, cocaine, or leggings then we(the public) would ask her. She should stick to acting since that is what she is paid for, and maybe not speak again outside of a film!

I didn't read all million posts because from the first few I know how negative you all can be. She has a right to express her opinion and as long as she's not inspiring prejudice or hate I don't see whats wrong. I do it, and yes I'm a college student, but her celebrity status doesn't limit her. All of you guys who say you don't care about her opinion are full of sh*t. If you didn't care then you wouldn't read it. I pass up plenty of posts that don't interest me and I don't comment. What she wrote isn't full of facts and figures, but its relatively accurate and educated enough for it's BLOG forum. Now if she were a reporter that would be another story.

Mykie, I know someone already addressed this statement but I don't think "outdated" is the right word to describe the Bible. It sounds like it has no use anymore if it is outdated, but I don't think you meant it that way. However, I do think some things stated in the Old Testament aren't necessary anymore, like animal sacrifice. After Jesus sacrificed himself, it was no longer necessary to practice animal sacrifice since He was the ultimate sacrifice. Anyway, now I'm going to get off my Christian soapbox...

Man, you guys gotta start separating Church and State over there in the USA. I wish I were American so I could vote Obama. Other countries are all rooting for him as they see McCain as more of the same, and ultimately what one country decides will effect the world in various ways.

MHO - LL has a right to voice her opinions. Even though SOME of the information she referenced was incorrect, some of it was correct, and let's face it, with all the different sides bashing each other right now, who actually has 100% correct facts anymore? Will LL's blog influence my vote? Sorry, my mind's already made up. Sam does have a great point though, "i beg of you all to really do your research and be educated when you cast your vote this coming november..." Although she shouldn't have said if in doubt vote Obama. If you're in doubt/uneducated about the candidates, it's probably best NOT TO VOTE AT ALL. Many celebs blog, many shouldn't. Then again, many people speak without thinking, and many shouldn't. But we are guaranteed freedom of speech in the good old US of A, so to each his own. For those whose opinions are soley based off their celeb flavor of the day, you're what's wrong with this country. Oh, and your religious views and political views can be different. You can believe gay marriage is wrong from a religious perspective but still believe it should be allowed politically. Same w/abortion. Do you volunteer at a soup kitchen as a way to show love for thy neighbor? You can still be against a welfare state, and that's ok. Politics - Religion. 2 different things (at least supposed to be). What's really important is called equal human rights, and supporting/allowing that is a way to show ultimate forgiveness for what you believe are your neighbors' sins. Just do everyone a favor and don't vote for someone just because they advocate for your pet issues. Vote for the person/people who will make this country better to work, play and live life in. I agree with what many have said about the feeling that our country moving backwards instead of forward, and that's very scary to me. Depending on how the next few years are run will largely influence whether I stay here to start my family or seek life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness elsewhere. Sorry so long, wanted my 75 cents in (adjusted for inflation).

Lohan has lost it. And to think I use to be a fan. And some think it is okay for her to say and do as she pleases. She needs to realize other people have feelings too!

I agree with Lindsay and Sam's post about not liking Sarah Palin, but their points aren't very eloquent or well-researched. I totally agree with Briandiesel btw, especially on point #1. It's not my place to judge people or tell them if they are going to hell, but I honestly do not believe that someone is going to hell just for being gay. I have an uncle who wrestled with his feelings for YEARS and finally came out of the closet in his 30s. If you are born that way, you can't help it. Besides that, heterosexual Christians sin every day...does that also mean that they are going to hell? It's not for us to decide who goes where, it's only God's decision. Obviously, if you don't believe in God and sin your whole entire life without remorse, I don't think you will go to heaven but who knows?

i just love how LL is so quick to be judgemental - when palin just says that she doesn't believe in gay marriage. in her interview she said that 'her opinion' is that gay marriage shouldn't be legal, not that she didn't like gay people. she's not homophobic, she even said that she comes from a large and diverse family - ..but whatev. everyone's entitled to their opinion. i'm not necessarily a palin supporter but i'm not against her either.

no, i dont care what she thinks either, but people always said she was a bimbo who only cared about fame and her looks and so on. at least this shows she cares about other things, unlike paris hilton who from what i hear doesnt even vote.

"She has kept her special needs baby, has a loving marriage ( 20 plus years! try that in hollywood!)" ... if that qualifies someone to be the vice president of the united states of america then we are officially fucked. i'm really sorry for the language, you're going to delete this aren't you?

THANK YOU ZEMA!!!!!!!!!!! If I were Lindsay (thank God I'm not), I would voice my opinions about John McCain and how I disagree with HIS policies instead of the V.P. Would we all be discussing this if McCain had selected Huckabee for his V.P.? I highly doubt it.

The reason why people are annoyed (not threatened) by Lindsay's blog is because her critique of Palin is not based on Palin's record and is not well thought out. Yes, she's of a conservative Christian faith, but that does not mean her politics are always going to reflect that. (See: vetoed a ban on certain gay rights in her state.) And she could not, for instance, in any universe, ban the use of the birth control simply because she personally does not believe in it. People who suggest that her religious views are going to inform our government (and our Democratic congress) are fear mongering, just like what we accuse Republicans of doing. It's not right no matter your political party, and it's simply NOT ACCURATE. Of course, Lindsay has a right to express her views. In turn, we have a right to criticize them.

I THOUGHT MCCAIN WAS RUNNING FOR PRESIDENT... not Palin.. wtf with people being so blind... they're making some nice fireworks to get your mind off the real problems. Get your ass educated, our canadian politics (and pretty much everywhere in the world) depends a lot on your votes too...

mesayme, There ARE books that are "take-offs". The King James version, doctrine and covenants, etc etc. But you're right about no sequel. That would be HILARIOUS! My point from that is that people have had to make "alterations" to the bible as time has worn on. A lot of it is in the interpretation of the writings, because if it weren't, people that are "christians" would still be living like Ma & Pa Ingalls on Little house on the prairie. And thanks for your note too, I enjoy reading your posts too, and don't be afraid to disagree with me! That's what democracy is all about. I just hate when people get rude and nasty in their disagreements, because that just isn't necessary. LOL
