Mariay Carey Throws So Much Shade at Nick Cannon in Her New Song

Mariah Carey just put the best celebrity breakup songs to shame. While singers are pros at serving splits with large sides of shade, few jams pack as many disses as Mariah's "Infinity." Mimi dropped the song and lyric video early Monday to promote her upcoming greatest hits album, Mariah Carey #1 to Infinity, and Las Vegas concert residency. At four minutes long, the song reads like a Dear John letter to her ex Nick Cannon. The lines run the gamut of ruthless ("Everything you own, boy, you still owe") to just silly ("Boy, you actin' so corny like Fritos"). Sure, their divorce has been less than cordial, but we thought Mariah and Nick's sweet Easter Sunday with their twins may have signaled a transition to mature coparenting and friendship. Scratch that. Keep reading for a look at Mariah's most dismissive lyrics, and be sure to check out the video below.

  1. "Could it be that you just lost the best you've ever had?"
  2. "That's your bag. Yup, that's too bad."
  3. "Show is over. You ain't gotta act."
  4. "Name hold weight like kilos."
  5. "Boy, you actin' so corny like Fritos."
  6. "Wouldn't have none of that without me, though."
  7. "If life was a game, you're a free throw."
  8. "Ain't no compliments. Duh."
  9. "Ain't no come agains."
  10. "Have you ever felt this on your own?"
  11. "Why you tryin' to play like you're so grown?"
