Matt Damon stopped by the Today show in NYC today to promote his latest project, Elysium, which hits theaters on Aug. 8. While chatting with cohost Matt Lauer, Matt Damon joked about his recent interview with Esquire, where he claimed that Brad Pitt was jealous of him because he's able to go unnoticed when taking his kids to school. Matt laughed about the intently headline-worthy line, saying, "What else is he going to be jealous of? Yeah, he's jealous of me . . . I spend my life trying to be like Brad Pitt."
Matt Damon also revealed that he is officially moving away from the Big Apple this weekend to take up a permanent residence in LA. The big change is so he can focus on his production company, Pearl Street Films, with Ben Affleck. He said, "Together we can aggregate some good stuff and get really good books before they come out and develop some really great projects together."
