Well done, Mr. President! Barack Obama got his wife, Michelle, a thoughtful 50th birthday present: a few extra days of rest and relaxation in Hawaii. The first lady, who will officially make 50 look phenomenal on Jan. 17, stayed in Hawaii with friends as a gift from her husband, who traveled back to chilly DC with the couple's daughters on Sunday.

Once Michelle gets home, more festivities are planned. According to reports, Michelle will celebrate 50 with a Snacks & Sips & Dancing & Dessert party [3]. The invitation apparently tells guests to wear comfortable shoes, "eat before you come, and practice your dance moves.” We know Michelle, the queen of cool mom dancing [4], doesn't need any practice, though. As for the planned entertainment, there's no word if the Obamas' married friends Beyoncé and Jay Z plan to attend or serenade Michelle (I do love the idea of Barack and Michelle dancing to "Drunk in Love"). But Barack did book a polka band!
