Watch Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert Fall in Love on Stage in 2005

Country star Miranda Lambert turns 31 today, so to celebrate, we're looking back at her first performance with her now-husband, Blake Shelton. Miranda first hit the country music scene back in 2003, when she became a finalist on the TV show Nashville Star. After capturing fans' attention during the talent competition, she signed a record deal, and during CMT's 100 Greatest Duets concert in 2005, Miranda and Blake hit the stage together to sing "You're the Reason God Made Oklahoma." The pair's obvious chemistry was caught on camera, with both of them smirking as they held eye contact throughout the song.

Blake was married at the time, and in an episode of Behind the Music, he talked about falling for Miranda in that moment, saying, "I've never had that kind of experience with anybody. I was a married guy, you know? Standing up there and singing with somebody and going, 'Man, this shouldn't be happening.' Looking back on that, I was falling in love with her, right there on stage." Miranda chimed in and agreed, saying, "It was just like this draw to each other. It was just sort of this inevitable chemistry." Fast-forward to this past week, when the pair took home the awards for female artist of the year and male artist of the year at the CMA Awards — talk about a power couple! Watch their first performance above, and then check out some of Blake and Miranda's sweetest PDA snaps!
