FOUR days?! Are you kidding me! She was driving doped up going the wrong way on a HIGHWAY!! This is ridiculous, I hate the American legal system.

I figured it out. She's going to turn herself in tomorrow (Sunday) and serve her time. She'll be out by Wednesday & she'll do her Diane Sawyer interview on Thursday. That way, she'll have something to talk about to deflect the pregnancy question.

her sentence is actually what most people would serve under the circumstances. although this is her 2nd DUI, her last one was four years ago. Also, she was not under probation and her license was not suspended at the time of her arrest. under the law, her case would normally warrant 5 days to 6 months imprisonment, but since she surrendered, cooperated and entered into a plea-bargaining agreement which meant the county didn't have to spend as much money as it would have, had the case gone into full trial. Pleading guilty and taking responsibility is a mitigating circumstance which shall serve to lower a penalty. she is getting credit for the 6 hours she spent in jail after the arrest that's why she gets to serve only four days. Again, that is provided for under the law. Offenders shall get full day credit for a fraction of a day served. there really is no reason for people to be up in arms for the sentence she got. My neighbor was sentenced to the same imprisonment term. In his case, he was even allowed to serve his sentence for two consecutive weekends so he can go to work. Nicole made the right decision to act like an adult in dealing with her case.

Hey, at least she didn't freak out and cry like a baby (Paris). She did something very, very wrong, pled guilty (which helps her sentence...it was a plea bargin), and will do her time without much fanfare (cough, cough Paris). And...I freakin' love, love, love that dress. She looks great.

I had a friend pollypo, who got 90 days in PA after his second DUI. I guess it's different here in good old PA. We burn the hell out of ya! Send these drunk drivers to PA, they will get a "fair" sentence! Maybe they would learn a lesson if they did go to jail for 90 days here in PA.
