You might not think Pearl Jam and Nina Dobrev have a lot in common. But both the '90s rock band and the Vampire Diaries star both want you to #GetCovered, aka sign up for health care under the Affordable Care Act, popularly known as Obamacare. Nina took to her Who Say account Thursday to support the new law in one way that's sure to draw attention to the cause: going topless. She wrote: "Im Canadian. We have healthcare for all. If you dont have insurance go to http://say.ly/cdi6TN2 and #GetCovered ,Because w/o it, youre naked."
As healthcare exchanges opened for businesses on Oct. 1, a variety of celebrities have encouraged their social media followers to sign up. Kerry Washington posted a playful video on Instagram, while Jennifer Hudson poked fun at the Scandal star with a Funny or Die pro-healthcare video that spoofed Kerry's show. If President Obama can't count on House Republicans to back up Obamacare, he sure has some help from celebrities. Check out some of their best efforts to get more Americans covered below.
