Paris is Free!! Let Out of Jail After Only 3 Days!!

Early this morning Paris Hilton was released from jail after serving only 3 of her 23 day sentence. According to TMZ, the deal was finalized yesterday and the LA County Sheriff's Department will hold a news conference to discuss the release sometime this morning. She checked herself into the facility on Sunday evening, two days before she was mandated. Stay tuned for updates...

Update: The press conference is going on now. According to LA Sheriff Department spokesperson Steve Whitmore, Paris will be confined to her home for the next 40 days. She will be forced to wear an ankle bracelet, similar to the one Martha Stewart wore during her house arrest. Apparently the decision was made based on discussions with her medical staff, but the spokesperson would not discuss the medical issue "due to confidentiality." My assumption is it has something to do with her mental state, as her psychiatrist was in to visit her every day.

special treatment... god... what's the point of even sentencing her in the first place if they're just gon' let her out after 3 days... gay. Btw she's got bigass feet...

so not fair. she could have injured, or even worse- killed someone. her excuses were lame, selfish and totally predicted. "but i didn't know. it wasn't my fault." she's just a selfish person, who deserves whatever karma throws at her. i hope paris doesn't get let on house arrest, instead goes back to jail for the original FOURTY days.

ooohh, she, the poorest lizard out of the bloated bubbles couldn't handle the adventure through a 23-long-days sink; what expected disgrace. Shame on ''p-h''

I just read that the lead prosecutor said that "The judge is the only person that has the power to modify the conditions of her sentence." Didn't the judge specifically note that she wasn't to have work release or any type of monitoring? I remember reading that somewhere. He also said, "Had we been provided with the proper notification, we would have opposed the decision on legal grounds." Delgadillo (the prosecutor) added that he found the release on medical grounds "puzzling" since he says L.A. County jails are "well-equipped" to deal with inmate medical situations. "I am also concerned that the judicial process may have been improperly circumvented in this case," Delgadillo continued. "I have directed my criminal branch to immediately explore all possible legal options to ensure that the law is being applied equally and justly in this case." (I got this from People.com.) Doesn't sound to me like he's very happy with the way the jail handled things.

It's disguesting that she's been let out early. Staying in her home is no punishment at all. She needs to learn that she has to pay for her mistakes and that she is not "special".

i mean really, what kind of punishment is it to stay in your multi million dollar home for 40 days? she'll have everything she wants at her fingertips- that's no punishment at all. i live in a tiny apt. attached to my bf's grandparents house and next to the loudest craziest neighbors in the world... for me 40 hours in this place is punishment... i should offer up my home to teach her a lesson.

The only thing that she is gonna learn is that she get away with whatever she wants! It's ridiculous! What a joke.

why does she get special treatment? she broke the law, she needs to serve her time. the amount of money she has or her family name shouldnt interfere with the law.

I think it is total BS! People get put in the drunk tank for more than that simply for public intoxication! Give me a break, You drink, you drive, and then you cry so you don't have to pay your due time. It is all such a load of horse...

what????she didn't learn anything.i guess that all u need is some $$$$ to get away with just about anything.if she didn't have money right now no one will care what happens to her and she'll still be sitting in jail.what the point of putting her in jail for 3 days that just a waste of time if she just gonna pay you off or something.what makes u thing that she wouldn't do it again???what a spoiled b****tch.

A direct quote from Paris herself at the MTV awards from www.foxnews.com: "I did have a choice to go to a pay jail," said Hilton, without giving details. "But I declined because I feel like the media portrays me in a way that I'm not and that's why I wanted to go to county, to show that I can do it and I'm going to be treated like everyone else. I'm going to do the time, I'm going to do it the right way." HYPOCRITE! She disgusts me. She tries to be all sad and have morals in front of the camera and then cries like a baby to get out. Boo hoo, poor little rich girl. She was NOT treated like everyone else, she got out because she pouted and spoke in her baby voice. She should stop trying to pretend she wants to be like everyone else. I can't wait for the backlash.

i cant believe that that's ridiculous a whole 3 days I'm sure she learned her lesson by tonight she will be out driving drunk again getting away with something we would get sentenced months maybe years for but poor little baby a whole 3 days i wonder how the persons family she kills next time will feel about it. maybe she will get a week next time.

that is totally not fair. Others have to go to prison for months for getting drunk. She only had to for 23 days. And now only 3?!!! BECAUSE SHE WASN'T USED TO CRAMPED SPACES?! WTH!?! oh, well she's under house arrest, but that's not that bad, considering her house is like an endless palace filled with all the crap you could possibly imagine...T__T

I was looking forward to the news stations being Paris Hilton free. I agree this is a mockery of our justice system. The fact that she can't handle a few days in jail shows how much of a weak person she is. Or she is two faced and did whatever it took to get out of there. She sucks and I can't believe people idolize her.

I am only surprised she was in for more then a couple days. I guess now we will get all the posts of her peeking through the gate looking real sad and the shrink coming to visit. Predictable.
