Sandra Bullock and Melissa McCarthy's Summer blockbuster The Heat hits theaters today, and we got to sit down with their director Paul Feig, who is most famous for championing 2011's Bridesmaids, to chat about this new female-focused comedy. Paul revealed his knack for casting funny ladies as leads came from his "frustration" at watching women not being allowed to be funny but playing the "mean girlfriend all the time." He also spoke to watching Sandra and Melissa's relationship develop on and off screen, explaining that they were very "fun to watch," as well as revealing which funny lady he's eyeing next.
