Photos of David Beckham in Glasgow, Scotland Amid Rumors He's Moving to Milan

David's Lawyers Are Fighting For Him to Move to Milan

David Beckham looked happy as he arrived in Glasgow earlier today with his AC Milan teammates. The reporters surrounded him trying to find out the latest on his possible team switch. He's been open about wanting to stay in Italy, and his lawyers have begun talks with LA Galaxy to see if they can get him out of his deal to return on March 9. Even Victoria might have a new job overseas — rumor has it, Simon Cowell asked her to be a judge on The X Factor. We'll miss the family if they leave the US, but even overseas, he'll still be shirtless on the field when we need a Becks manjoyment fix.

Well, most footballers go where the money is, but I don't think Beckham's necessarily one of them. He's presumably thinking of his career and realises he needs to play in an actual league while he's still got the ability. But the vast majority of players will move between various clubs throughout their career, so I'm not sure why this is a suprise to anyone? Contracts don't really mean much of anything, players can be easily bought out of them. According to Look magazine (not sure how much that counts for anything...) Victoria's moving back to the UK with the boys rather than going to Italy.

I am a HUGE David fan, but this brings him down a few notches. You would think as a team member, he would recognize his obligation and responsibility to his teammates - after all, that is part of the contract. What kind of values is he teaching his sons (and young soccer players everywhere)? Move for the money?

I am glad he is leaving US. David deserves to play in a real football team.

Not that learning a new language is bad... it's just rough at that age to make multiple international moves. It's sometimes hard for kids to get up to their grade level when they restart in a new country with a different language. Even though their parents can afford the best tutors, they will still feel a little different from the other kids.

Good riddance. His wife's failed effort at a reality series about her life in the US should have been the first "majah" hint. It seems like they spent more time shopping for a house in LA than living there.Too bad for the kids though, to be dragged to another country and learn a new language when they probably made friends in the US.

huh - i wonder what the end result's going to be if he's able to stay with milan or not. i guess the excitement of playing in the US just wore off since soccer's not nearly as exciting here as it is elsewhere. i hope that it all works out for him, the Galaxy and the family.

I think that it would be Milan that would buy him out of his contract from LA

actually the real salary he recieves in LA Galaxy isnt that big so, if the finds a way out of his contract it wont cost him too much $$$. I'm so glad he might be staying with Milan, the team is so much love and glamour!
