James Franco brought some grown-up toys along to shoot the cover of Fall's V Man. He collaborated with the artist Carter on creating a theme for the images and inside spread, which show a progression of James playing with a variety of flame-throwing devices. During his past year at grad school, James has found lots of time to indulge in some of his more highbrow pursuits — and one of his poems is even featured inside. The images are quite different from the sight of James goofing around on the set of Eat, Pray, Love, and make sure to check out the rest of the issue when it hits newsstands soon.
