Neil Patrick Harris Gets Toned For the Tonys

Neil Patrick Harris headed to the gym yesterday with a big bottle of water ready to go. He's got a special reason to stay fit these days — NPH is hosting the Tony Awards in a couple of weeks. He already got some practice at the TV Land Awards, and hopefully we'll get treated to fun performances showcasing Neil Patrick's awesome singing voice and stage charisma come June 7.

I love him too! - When "Doogie Howser, MD" first appeared on TV in 1989, N. P. H. was just 16 years old (I think) & playing a difficult role of a "genius" 16 year old doctor. At the time I thought: "Wow! He has to learn all that medical jargon & make it believable - This show won't make it to a 2nd season. Too bad. But it did... At least for a few seasons, anyway. - When "Doogie" did go off the air, I was sure like most other child actors before him (& since) would disappear into obscurity/drug addiction as a "what ever happened to--" (appearing a la "Behind the Music"-type show re: child actors). Thank God he is 1 of the rare successes in an often cruel business. - Back then, who knew how truly talented this young man is - With his head firmly set on his shoulders. BRAVO to his hosting the prestigious "Tony Awards"! Well deserved, if you ask me.

Neil's a great singer, and if he wasn't he'd still be charming enough to host the tonys :) great pick to host

Heck yeah he sings. He was in Rent and Chicago on Broadway. I love what he has done with his career. My hubby is a complete dork for Dr. Horrible.... and he does sing there too.

I didn't know Neil sang. I know he's funny thought! I wish he had a better show on TV. I liked the first season but the jokes have gone stale.
