Gwyneth Paltrow is pretty in pink on the January 2011 cover of InStyle, which is available on newsstands this Friday. The Country Strong star just received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, which was a fun break from all the hard work she's been doing to promote the January release. She was busy in LA over the weekend chatting about the film at her junket, and last night she threw on a black dress to chat with Conan about her role as a singer — check out video of Gwyneth and Conan dishing on singing and her family after the jump. She opened up to pal Faith Hill in the magazine about how her son Moses loves Faith's daughter, unwinding with dance parties, and holiday season excitement. Gwyneth said:
- On her role in Country Strong: "I've never prepared for anything more in my life. It was a big responsibility. There was studying with an accent coach, learning to play guitar, and of course the singing. My voice didn't have any power or strength to it at all, and I wanted to try to sing properly. And I was so nervous about performing live scenes in the film because that's so foreign to me."
- On how she lets loose: "I like having dance parties at my house and being super-goofy with my girlfriends. We just play dance music, like whatever is on the radio and then old stuff — Michael Jackson, disco — and new stuff; we mix it up. It's fun."
- On what she loves about the holidays: "My favorite thing is that the phone stops ringing and the e-mails stop coming. It's like a vacuum is created where you can be together and there's no outside noise. The air changes. You can be home, but it feels different. I really love that."
