Ryan Gosling was waiting to greet his mom, Donna, when she arrived at her house in Toronto yesterday. Ryan, who was in town to celebrate Mother's Day, makes frequent trips home to Canada, having headed north just last month for a brief stay. He had the weekend to spend with family, but it's been a nomadic year for the actor. He was fresh from a trip to NYC, and he'll be heading overseas in the coming days for the Cannes Film Festival, where he'll debut his action-thriller Drive. Ryan was also in France for last year's festivities, attending the premiere of Blue Valentine, the movie that scored his costar Michelle Williams an Oscar nomination. Ryan is now planning to team up with the drama's writer-director Derek Cianfrance again for his latest project, The Place Beyond the Pines. Ryan will portray a professional motorcycle rider who turns to crime to support his young son in the film, which also costars Bradley Cooper. Shooting is expected to start this Summer.
