The royal tour continues! After wrapping up their separate appearances on Saturday, Prince William and Kate Middleton reunited and toured Cambridge, New Zealand, where they visited a war memorial, met athletes, and kicked off cycling races. The duke and duchess were all smiles while speaking with former Olympic cyclist Sarah Ulmer at Avantidrome, New Zealand's new national cycling center. At one point, the royals were presented with a special gift for Prince George — a mini BMX bike complete with a helmet!
The cute moments started after William and Kate landed in Hamilton, New Zealand, fresh-faced and ready to embark on another big day. Donning a green knee-length Erdem coat, Kate was at William's side as they made their way from the airplane to the tarmac. The Duke of Cambridge smiled at his wife before waving to the crowd gathered below. Moments later, Kate beamed as she looked up at William while he spoke with a group of people awaiting their arrival.
The first event of the day let Prince William fulfill his duties while feeding his interest in aviation. The former Royal Air Force pilot visited Pacific Aerospace, a company based at the Hamilton Airport in Hamilton. William toured the factory, scored a close-up view of its P-750 aircraft, and greeted families gathered to meet him.
Meanwhile, Kate brought cheer to Rainbow Place children's hospice in Hamilton, bonding with kids and families during play and art therapy. As the patron of East Anglia's Children's Hospices in Great Britain, Kate has showed support for children coping with life-threatening conditions, a top priority since she took on the role in January 2012. Later that year, Kate spoke about the importance of palliative care at a hospice in Kuala Lumpur during her whirlwind visit to Malaysia with Prince William, saying the center's contributions had the power to be "simply life-changing."
We last saw the duke and duchess on Friday during a friendly sailing race, which Kate won! Their bundle of joy, Prince George, has been out of the spotlight with his nanny ever since we caught a glimpse of his adorable personality at a lively playgroup on Wednesday. If you can't get enough of the exciting photo ops, check out baby George's most adorable royal tour moments, many of which suggest the father and son are two of a kind.
