The Twilight cast is kicking off Comic-Con in a big way. Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart, and the rest of the stars came out for day one of the conference today to chat about Breaking Dawn Part 2, and we caught a few minutes with Robert to talk about the film, what Kristen's like as a vampire, and what he would dress up as if he attended Comic-Con as a fan — he joked that he'd go as Edward Cullen! Watch our interview to see what else he had to say.View Transcript »
for you personally, what has the franchise meant to you? It's given me a life that I had no idea that I should be having at all. I still feel like I've fallen down the rabbit hole. I just literally, I randomly auditioned and ended up going in this crazy direction. My last question, what do you think this part two is going to bring for the fans? Like what sort of finish or emotion? I mean the very end of the movie 'cause I've seen it already. It's like it's very, very sentimental, but it is like I didn't expect myself to react the way I did to it. Bill Condon did this amazing ending. which is so sweet and anyone that's had any kind of investment in this series you can't really help but get emotional about it. So yeah, hopefully they'll like that, but also the rest of the movie is kind of a political, action epic. I completely don't know. There's nothing like the other one. All right. I'm gonna have to ask you to put in the mask if I ever run into you. Okay. So, you're hoping that one day you'll come to Comic-Con and actually get to go to Comic-Con ? That's what I was saying, I want to do that next year. Someone told me that Hayden Christensen always comes with the Darth Vader helmet on like every year. Yeah. And, yes. I kinda wanna do that. I'd dress up as Edward. You look nothing like Edward. You're too old. So will you really pleased that Kristen had to go through the pain of being a vampire this time around? It was quite vindicating like having a complaint all the time. 'Cause after everyone thought I was a pussyfoot for the last five years. But, yeah, no, it was interesting watching her 'cause she had to she had to suddenly, everyone else has got their idea of what playing a vampire is like down. They didn't feel like they had to reinvent anything. And then Kristen's gonna go, "No, but a vampire would do this." I'm like, "Listen. Vampires don't do that. This is what vampires do. We've already invented the vampire logic." It was kind of fun doing it.
