The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have packed their bags and headed down under, with Prince George two. After taking last year off from official international tours, Will and Kate are giving royal watchers a treat. They started in New Zealand on April 7 and will say their goodbyes in Australia on April 25. During the three week sojourn, the young family will celebrate Easter, participate in a sailing race, and explore the local regions — and we're hoping for many outfit changes from Kate and George.
In 2013, the British royal family in general logged fewer frequent-flier miles than in 2012, the year of the queen's Diamond Jubilee. All the major royals traveled overseas to celebrate Queen Elizabeth's 60 years on the throne. Prince William Kate, took the British royal family show on the road for a nine-day tour of the Far East, while Prince Harry did his part paying a visit to countries in Central America and the Caribbean on behalf of Her Majesty. But even without a major milestone to celebrate, the British royals have been traveling the globe for decades. To compare the past and present royal tours, take a look at royals around the world throughout the years.
