Sarah Jessica Parker premiered her new docu-series, city.ballet., at Tribeca Cinemas in NYC last night. The new series, which airs online at AOL On, doesn't star SJP, but it does feature the dancers in the New York City Ballet and follows them as they put on shows. Sarah Jessica is serving as the executive producer and creator for the web series, and she is also a board member on NYCB, which means that she is sure to get unprecedented access to the company and a behind-the-scenes look at what goes on backstage.
Sarah Jessica was joined on the red carpet by Peter Martins, the NYCB master in chief. She also got a chance to interview Peter in a behind-the-scenes look at city.ballet., where he talked about what makes his ballet company so special and why regular folks shouldn't be afraid to go see a ballet. Peter isn't the only NYCB star that SJP got to interview — she also got one-on-one time with Dara, the woman who organizes and manages all of the ballet slippers for the dancers. Being a former dancer herself, Sarah Jessica got understandably excited when looking at all the shoes and even admitted that she would never dare try on one of the head ballerina's shoes.
