Seth Rogen Responds to Film Critic's Article

Seth Rogen and Judd Apatow Respond to "Insulting" Article About Shooting

Seth Rogen took to Twitter on Monday to address a Washington Post film critic's take on how Seth's movies may have impacted Santa Barbara shooter Elliot Rodger. In her piece, published on Sunday, critic Ann Hornaday wrote about Rodger's disturbing YouTube video diaries, in which he repeatedly talks about seeking revenge against the women who weren't attracted to him:

"How many students watch outsized frat-boy fantasies like Neighbors and feel, as Rodger did, unjustly shut out of college life that should be full of 'sex and fun and pleasure'? How many men, raised on a steady diet of Judd Apatow comedies in which the schlubby arrested adolescent always gets the girl, find that those happy endings constantly elude them and conclude, 'It's not fair'?"

Seth replied to Hornaday on Twitter, and Judd quickly followed suit, prompting a social media conversation about her article and their movies. Take a look at their tweets below.

Theirs weren't the only tweets making headlines after Friday's tragic shooting, which ended with several injuries and left seven people dead, including the shooter. In the aftermath of Rodger's deadly attacks, the hashtag #YesAllWomen reached one million tweets by Tuesday morning, with Twitter users sharing stories, thoughts, and concerns about violence against women. Stars like Lena Dunham, Sophia Bush, and Connie Britton joined the conversation, making thoughtful comments about the issue. I don't know who I like less, Seth Rogan or the even fatter Jonah Hill... Both are fair at comedy but they both give off this sort of hostility that lurks just under their 'jolly' fat roles. They make me feel uneasy watching them in movies and interviews. They are not what they seem, IMO.
