Should Grey's Give Isaiah the Boot?

Should Grey's Give Isaiah the Boot?

There has been lots of drama surrounding Isaiah Washington and the rest of the Grey's Anatomy cast in the past few months. Katherine Heigl has been perhaps the biggest cheerleader for T.R. Knight, and has made her feelings towards Isaiah and his actions very clear. Now that he's been to rehab for this situation, what do you think ABC should do about Isaiah's role on Grey's?

Seriously! Freedom of speech! We may not agree with what Burke says, but that doesn't mean he should lose his job! He is an amazing character!!! I'd rather see Izzie, George, and Meredith leave. They are such whiners! Especially Goerge! MAN, he gets on my nerves, he needs to grow a spine and some balls and start acting like a man!!! We need more characters like Corev, Addison, Bailey, Christina, and Burke! Of course McDreamy, since he is HOT to look at. For all I care, McSteamy can go too, all he has is a good bod! I can't wait till Grey's takes a turn for the best!

I think fire him or make his character gay. I love Katherine Heigl and I think she's awesome to stand up for her friend.

Yes, they should fire her and then take her out and shoot her. Or just shoot her, either way.

So should Paris Hilton get the boot from her new movie and simple life for making up this song? This was from a video that was posted on the web but then got shut down. She was singing the following lyrics: I am a fat ugly Jewish b*tch … I’m a little jap-y Jew … I am a little black whore, I got f*cked in the butt for coke … I’m a n*gger and I’ll (unintelligible) … I’m black and I steal sh*t, Yo I’m black and I steal… She also used the F-word.

I think people need to let it go. I mean, there are racists in the world and I can't go around wanting to fire or unfriend every single one of them.

Well my last comment didn't get posted. I guess if I don't go with the flow and agree with everyone else I don't get posted. Nice. Sticks and stones people. So what. The guys a jerk. Shouldn't get fired for saying the "F" word which I always thought was that other 4 letter word. Using the F word is not the same as using the N word. Race and sexual preference should not be in the same catagory.

Yeah, he's gotta go. Choking your cast mate just isn't right, in fact that right there should have cost him his job. But then his mouth got involved and that was really bad. What he did at the awards show was the height of stupidity. And then lying about it? He's learned nothing. He doesn't feel sorry for anything except that he got caught. He probably won't lose his job because he's a celebrity and celebrities get away with murder. Look at Nicole Richie, LL, Paris, OJ Simpson (literally murder). If he worked for State Farm Insurance, he would have been gone in a heartbeat. I just wish Disney or ABC or whoever is in charge would sh*t or get off the pot. Fire him or tell the world to settle down cause he's staying.

I agree with those who said they should make his character gay. I think John Mayer was the first one to recommend it...and I think it is a BRILLIANT idea!...plus, the ratings would probably go out. I have never watched Grey's, but if they made his character gay, I would TOTALLY watch, just for that!

I agree with lindac, had this not been his first issue with the cast it might not be such a big deal. To me he seems like a cocky jerk whose head has gotten WAY too big. I also agree maybe this isn't the most important story on here and maybe we should get over it, but I think a cast member disrespecting his coworker for his sexual orientation is a MUCH bigger deal than LiLo needing McDonalds and sex. To me this story is one of the ONLY REAL legitimate issues. The rest of it is just "her extensions look bad" or "Kate and Pete break up again'. I think this is a REAL story. But don't get me wrong, I like all the stories just the same :)

He should keep his job. If anything they need a mediator to help them talk this through so that everyone can feel comfortable on the job again. I think the way T.R. Knight handled it, going on Ellen was ridiculous. I also think Katherine H. sounded like an idiot saying she would throw down for him. And Sharon stone brought up another thing... she said she has been called a bitch and much worse on sets, and no one was sent to rehab for it. This is overkill.

I am not big on crucifying people.People use that word all the time. I am not saying it is ok--but some people dont realize the power of thier words. I am glad he was held accountable and an apology was definately in order. The right thing to do is to learn from this and to make room for healing, forgiveness and coming together stronger.I cant stand it when people want to make huge issues out of human faults just to stir the pot or for whatever cause. On the other hand if he did not apologize and continued to disrespect those he works with than of course fire his ass!I just think it is important to try and make good out of bad things and focus on that rather than who to burn at the stake next.~Melissa

Maybe they could make him gay and then confess his love for George (if they would share a scene) or McSteamy. Or the chief.

I think he has problems beyond the "f" word. Most people seem to have forgotten he was trying to throw Patrick Dempsey around and choke him while saying his homophobic bs. For that alone, I think he should be fired. His problems aren't going to be cured by 9 days of therapy. His lack of professionalism has obviously made the set an uncomfortable working environment and he should be let go.
