By the way, how much do those "humanitarian" awards cost? From the description, it doesn't exactly sound like Tom was putting in any actual volunteer time or effort, apart from the "hard work" involved in writing the occasional check, or doing a movie for which he was already highly paid and that coincidentally had a Jewish theme (it IS Hollywood, after all). Maybe he has some brilliant intellect that the world has never before seen. Or not. I vote for the latter!
