laura, how exactly do soldiers make this discussion possible? do they really actually make the internet work? i didn't know, wow! so THAT'S where wireless comes from... PS: I feel bad for soldiers, but they essentially go to war. There they kill people, whose death brings as much pain to their families as anyone dying anywhere else. Do you cry for the dead civilians too Laura? I do. I guess we choose who we mourn. I mourn Heath Leger and Iraqis. You are free to mourn soldiers who keep the Popsugar's website up in the America and such. To each his own.

I always loved the fact that he didn't care what people would say about his choice of clothes... That was one of my favorite things about him: he'd only act on movies, never in life!

It's amazing how much we say we care and how bad we feel when a celebrity dies. What about our soldiers? Do you even think twice when you see the scrolling names on the bottom of your TV screen? Do you cry about them? I know some of you do, but a lot of people don't. They are much more of a hero figure than any celebrity. Our soldiers and war veterans NEED to be thanked and mourned because they are the ones who make this very discussion possible. I don't want to start a huge discussion about this post either. I just wanted to give someone reading this something else to think about.

I didn't usually comment on his past threads, but I always appreciated his wacky fashion sense. Very art-student/skateboarder/surfer influenced - which is kind of who he was. But he cleaned up nicely in a suit too. Excellent bone structure is hard to disguise. It's a relief to see his family entered and exited the US under the radar, and evidently a memorial service and dinner was held for friends and family in Los Angeles Saturday. I haven't seen one single paparazzi photo, and I hope none exist.

I'd have to say popsugar use to diss heath all time, call him names, criticize his wadrobe, and now they wanna act all sincere

Another who managed to see Heath's beauty regardless of what he wore. It's funny, I was so jealous of Michelle when they were together and secretly wished them apart. Turns out maybe she was the best thing for him. :-( RIP Heath. Still in shock and mourning here. I'm off to watch Lords of Dogtown again and then just maybe I'll break out BBM but I doubt I can handle that one just yet.

Watched The Soup too, it was very classy of Joel. I can't get over this either; in the entertainment industry, where most people are disgusting, vile beings (hence my always snarky comments), he was a decent person, a dad, a friend, a partner. No one is safe from the effects of drugs, and whether it was suicide, and accident, a bad mix, or an overdose, he will be forever missed. This world has indeed lost someone very beautiful, inside and out... BTW, Fred Phelps is planning on picketing his funeral. Does anyone know of anyone planning on a "counter attack" (signs of love and support, etc)? Heath's family does not deserve to see Phelps' tirade of irrational hate while burying their son...

melissabritt, I know I could not stand some of the fashion choices he made. I just didn't understand how someone as gorgeous as he, could dress so oddly (although I DID appreciate his very tight pants...). But that in no way takes away from me appreciating his acting and him as a person. I bet there are quite a few people on here that feel the same way.

I feel like everyone is so sad now about Heath but when he was alive it seemed like most people on this site were all over him about what a crappy dresser he was..no one was ever saying how much they liked him.

I watch "The Soup" every week, and this week, Joel McHale said something that I totally appreciated with regard to Heath Ledger. There was a tribute picture up and he said (very loosely paraphrased because sometimes my mind is sievelike) "Heath Ledger has never appeared on this show, nor been discussed. So, media, stop trying to dig up dirt and let a fine actor rest in peace."

So sad, we were the same age. RIP Heath :(
