Chris Hemsworth had the support of his brothers, Liam and Luke Hemsworth, last night at the Toronto International Film Festival's premiere of Rush. It was a family affair for the Hemsworth clan; Elsa Pataky, Chris's wife, was also at the debut. Olivia Wilde, who plays Chris's love interest in Rush, brought her fiancé, Jason Sudeikis, and we later spotted the pair enjoying a post red carpet drink at the hotel across the street.
Chris plays the late F1 racer James Hunt in Rush, and went on something of a crash diet to slim down after playing Thor to fit into the notoriously small race cars — last night, he told us he missed everything "bad for you" while he was on the restricted eating plan. Director Ron Howard told us that despite some initial concerns over Chris's physicality, he was more concerned with what the actor could bring to the role on an emotional level. Daniel Brühl, who plays Chris's adversary Niki Lauda in the film, was also in attendance at the debut of the movie. Daniel is having a breakout TIFF this year, also starring opposite Benedict Cumberbatch in The Fifth Estate, which traces the rise of WikiLeaks. Stay tuned for more of our red carpet coverage from the Rush premiere!
