Gwyneth Paltrow took the Eurostar to Paris this morning, and it didn't take her long to dress for a bash hosted by Marc Jacobs and Louis Vuitton. On her way inside the event, Gwyneth stopped to chat with Louise Roe. The ladies reminisced about Gwyneth at the Oscars and discussed memorable Vuitton bags from the past and Gwyneth's somewhat masculine style. Gwyneth spoke about her all-black look today, commenting, "I'm quite straight up and down. I'm not voluptuous. Unfortunately, I don't look like Sofia Vergara. So I make the most of what I've got."View Transcript »
Gwyneth Paltrow joins me now looking stunning. Thank you. Last week, you were kind of a bit with all white and tonight, it's all black. Yeah. In Louis Vuitton. From one extreme to the other. Yeah. Good to see you in full tuxedo. You really rock out the masculine look, the androgynous look. Yeah. I think because, you know, I'm quite straight up and down. I'm not voluptuous. Unfortunately, I don't look like Sofia Vergara, you know. So, I make the most of what I've got. It's nothing unfortunate. You look gorgeous. Now, I've said that the tonight Louis Vuitton and Marc Jacobs. Yes. You've been a great ambassador and fan of the brand. What does it sum up to you, what does mean, Louis Vuitton? Well, what interest me always about the brand is the kind of mix of incredibly classic and luxurious with you know, Marc's iconoclastic band, how he's always bringing in or amazing contemporary artist to shake up the brand, and you know, turn it on it's ear a little bit. And I think it's really smart and it's obviously and a huge success for the brand. He does have a great sense of humor too, which I think you'll see upstairs. I don't know if you saw the show this morning, but with the giant steam train that rolled in and the models got out of the carriage. That 's funny. No. I didn't. I was in London this morning. And now, last week at the Oscars you did some great caught-in-the-moment slang. Can you speak any French? Can you say hello to any French viewers? I can speak a bit of French. It's not that good though. Now, the only thing I remember is getting my first ever Louis Vuitton bag. It's quite an iconic moment. I remember saving and saving. Do you remember any pieces or bags that you've won, that you just, what's that? I have a lot of fun memories with my Louis Vuitton things, but I bought this amazing bag. It was like originally made to put dirty shirts in, like laundry. It's like a suitcase, but its very soft and sort of crushable. And someone stole it. Oh no! Canada and I was naive, I guess and I checked it and it was still. And I still miss that suitcase. You need to replace that pronto and you also did a Vanity Fair cover with lot of Louis Vuitton jewelry. Oh, yeah. And not much else. No. I think stockings and nothing else. Jewelry. But you did the accessories pretty well too. Yes, it's true. Well, enjoy that show and thank you so much. My pleasure. Nice to see you again. Me too.
