We Laughed, We Cried, We Saw Great Acceptance Speeches

Though last night's show had its share of highlights (we were particularly enamored with the shadow formation people things, video of which you can check out here), we can all probably agree that two of the biggest moments were when Martin Scorsese and Jennifer Hudson each won their awards. Here we've got videos of their speeches, one funny, one touching, both memorable. So enjoy (J-Hud's video also includes Simon Cowell's pre-show message, which was surprisingly sweet). Heck, play 'em at the same time for all I care. Though, gotta warn you, I'm not sure how well that mash-up would work out.

I loved the shadow people. I agree that the show was way too long but I wouldn't have wanted them to cut that part. Maybe the ridiculously long montages.

Haha Marty Scorsese's ramblings are endearing (about going to places, dentist, etc...)

I was looking at the moment when they announced Jennifer's name and Cate Blanchett seemed the most genuinely happy for her.

I must be the only person who didn't care for the shadow people. They did some cool stuff, but all they were were filler for a show that ran way too long. They easily could have gone.

i dont think any of them last night were as emotional as past winners like Gwyneth & Halle!

I love Jennifer , Im so glad she won. She has busted her butt and its great to see the underdog ( even though she is amazingly talented ) win . Congrats to her. Heres hoping it doesnt go all to her hed :)

Simon Cowell needs to stop trying to get publicity by continuing to make comments to Jennifer Hudson. I also think that Jennifer Hudson is overrated. With some people I love all the coverage they get, but with her I get tired.
