President Obama's health care reform law, also know as the Affordable Care Act, was temporarily threatened during the debate over the federal budget; House Republicans tried to bargain their votes in exchange for restrictions on Obamacare. Their efforts, though, were unsuccessful, and Obama's signature domestic achievement isn't going anywhere. Now, uninsured people can buy coverage through federally or state-run exchanges.
