The East Coast Really Can't Catch a Break

Just weeks after the polar vortex brought frigid temperatures to the US, Winter storm Janus is hitting the East Coast with heavy snowfall and even more chilly days. Luckily, this storm is expected to be short-lived, and although parts of the Northeast can expect nearly a foot of snowfall, the blizzard should end sometime on Wednesday. In the meantime, people in New York and Washington DC are bracing themselves against the bitter cold, and the chilly effects are reaching into the Chicago area, too.
