Are You Excited About The Backstreet Boys' New Album?

Are You Excited About The Backstreet Boys' New Album?

Believe it or not, the Backstreet Boys are making a comeback and their new single will hit the airwaves on August 27th. In fact, they even have a countdown clock on their official website if you just can't contain your excitement. It's been a few years since we've heard from the boy band but we want to know (and some of you even suggested this poll idea) - are you excited about the BSB reunion?

Their new album is quite good. I don't like "boy bands" but I think they are the most talented. I was surprised when I heard the new songs. Their music has been changed. Keep it goin' Guys! ;)

I'm confused. Why are so many people talking about them as if they haven't done anything since 1999? They just released an album in 2005 that debutted at #3 on the charts, and their first single was a hit. They also had a very successful tour to follow. And their "Just Want You To Know" video had tons of controversy. Now, I can understand if some of you were merely ignoring them at the time, but to be totally oblivious? You don't have to be happy that they are still making albums, but you have got to at least try to accept the fact that THEY DON'T CARE THAT THE BOY BAND CRAZE IS OVER. They are not trying to be as big as they once were, they just want to keep making music for the fans they still have. And judging by the success of their 2005 album, they still have a lot. The average age range is now between late teens and early twenties, most of which have grown to like a variaty of different music. So I wouldn't jump to conclusions that we're all just "tweenies."

Thank you shoes08, I was just about to say that about being "in style". who the fuck cares? It's music and music never go out of style. Are you actually saying that you change your taste in music when something goes out of "style"?! Ok, if you didn't like it before then you probably won't like it now, but there are still fans out there who love them and that's why they're coming back. The sold out tour they had in 2005 should have proved that. They're still doing their thing and thank god for that. They're damn good at it.

Backstreet Boys??? Who are they?? OH WAIT!! Is that the group that had the guy who dated Paris Hilton for like a minute, the guy who produced George's new cd, the old guy, old guy's cousin and the guy with the tattoos?? yeah, I think I might have to pass on that one... Sorry "Boys."

no, boybands aren't "in style" anymore but who cares? it's called being different, not everyone likes to be exactly like everybody else. The Shoes represent Kevin, they are trying to remember him and he's still a part of the group, they said he could come back anytime and could possibly be on the next albumand if you don't like them don't look at this article, move on and look at something that deals with something you like like that crap they call Rap music or the trainwreck they call Lindsay LohanBut yes, the Backstreet Boys still have fans and we love these guys alot, so back off.

Um...wait, let me see if I grasp this. The guy quit the band and they are still representing him in their photo shoots and such? Oh, I get it...they don't want to lose any 'Kevin Girls' as fans.

Not to gossip but I met Nick Carter at the Startlight room here in SF and he kept farting, really stinky farts and finally one of my girlfriends called him on it and he through a huge fit and said "I don't like you girls and I'm not going to hang out with you anymore, and I'm going on MTV to say this place sucks". It was so funny and he was such a baby, oh and this was less than a year ago.

Well it can't be any worse than the crappy pop, silly rap and hokey R&B that's out nowadays!

I was all into the boy band fananza when I was 11-13. They are too old to capture the same preteen/teen audience most boy bands do, so I hope they have some "grown-up" material to match the people that loved them way back when.

Always been a die hard fan, will be interesting to see how they survive minus a member.
