Leonardo DiCaprio Pops Up in Paris After Being Asked to Step Down From His UN Role

Following his date with girlfriend Nina Agdal in LA, Leonardo DiCaprio jetted off to France for the premiere of Before the Flood on Monday. The actor, who turns 42 next month, looked strikingly handsome as he posed for photos on the red carpet before making his way inside the Théâtre du Châtelet. While on stage, Leo — who's featured in the documentary along with Barack Obama and Pope Francis — gave an impassioned speech about climate change, a cause incredibly close to his heart.

Leo's latest appearance comes amid reports that he's been urged to give up his title as UN messenger of peace with a focus on climate change because of his connection to individuals involved in a Malaysian corruption scandal. While Leo has yet to address the issue, a press conference was held in London last week, where the Bruno Manser Fonds, a Switzerland-based rainforest charity, gave Leo the ultimatum of either stepping down from his role or renouncing his connections to the "politically exposed persons" and returning corrupt money he allegedly received.
