David Beckham Smolders While Lighting the Empire State Building and Celebrating UNICEF

David Beckham looked as handsome as ever when he arrived to light the Empire State Building as part of a celebration for UNICEF's 70th anniversary on Monday. The former soccer star and current retired family man suited up in gray for the occasion, where he met with a group of children and spoke to the crowd, saying that UNICEF is "something that I'm extremely focused on," adding, "It's something that is very important to me and the family." David has been a UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador since 2005 and recently released a powerful ad campaign to bring awareness to child abuse. During his visit to the historic NYC landmark, David spoke about the PSA, which highlights his many famous tattoos coming to life to illustrate violence against kids: "It doesn't matter what your politics are, everyone in this room, everyone watching, everyone who has sat here — no child should be affected by violence in the way they are."

It's clear that working with UNICEF is a Beckham family tradition; David and Victoria's 11-year-old son, Cruz, has recently begun showcasing his "cute little voice" and put his singing chops to good use with a new Christmas song for charity. "We always hope our children are listening to us and paying attention to us as parents," David said. "And we do a lot of work for charity. Me for UNICEF, and my wife [Victoria Beckham] does for the UN, and Cruz came to us very recently and he said, 'How about I do a Christmas song for charity and all the proceeds go to charity?'" David added that he's "very proud" of Cruz for coming up with the idea. "He wanted to give back. . . . It's kind of cool."
