Matt Damon finally gets some recognition. At the closing ceremony tonight he was honored as Male Star of the Year. Maybe those guys on Project Greenlight should pay more attention to him because he clearly knows what he's doing these days. Go Jason Bourne! No word yet on Jennifer Aniston, who was also being recognized at ShoWest this year.
Reuters reports that George Lucas annouced at ShoWest that the SWIII will be a tear-jerker. He warns to bring tissues and calls the movie a "'Titanic' in space. It's a real tearjerker, and it will be received in a way that none of us can expect." We'll find out in 2 months and counting.
San Jose Mercury news reports that Mario Vasquez has hired that same lawyers that helped Clay Aiken, the other "supposedly" gay idol, get free from the AI contracts so he could get real management. Looks like Mario's got something up his sleeve. Pagesixsixsix.com reports that Mario has been rumored to have signed with P.Diddy already. I have a feeling we'll keep hearing about Mario even through May sweeps when the final Idol is voted on.
