EW's article on celebrity greed helps explain why we are paying $10 to see a movie. Apparently when the rest of the economy tanked in the dot.com bust, everyone suffered except a-list celebs. They all negotiate packages to include "perk points" which include private jets, hair and make-up, trainers etc. It has gotten out of hand, but most studios agree with the right star in the right movie, you don't care how much it costs. The article includes some funny requests but does not divulge any names.
