Hachette finally launches some new magazines. While Conde Nast and Time Inc have had serious success in recent years with the launches of multiple magazines like Real Simple, Lucky, and Cargo, Hachette had been cutting back. Well now they have finally decided to get in the ring and make some new titles. The three magazines set to launch in April and May are:

  • For Me, the twentysomething women's lifestyle monthly

Page Six reports that Victoria Gotti does not like to share the spotlight with other pseudo-celebrities. Gotti was supposed to appear at an Allure event this Friday but backed out when she found out the Gastineau Girls were also going to be there. Hmmm, maybe she's jealous because Lisa's skinnier than her.

MK sleeps in class

Newsflash - Mary Kate is normal.

Newsflash - Mary Kate is normal. She probably was jet lag from a recent trip to LA where Defamer has reportedly found her eating. OR maybe she just partied too hard to be alert in class. Like you've never dosed off before in class - come on.

Thanks celebrity scum for the fabulous photo from some other fabulous individual who was making the most of his cell phone camera.

Daily Mail reports that Joss Stone, the new face of The Gap is moving in with her 25 year old music producing boyfriend.

jossstone.jpgDaily Mail reports that Joss Stone, the new face of The Gap is moving in with her 25 year old music producing boyfriend. Tisk tisk tisk - they will not just be living in sin, they are technically committing statutory rape. Nice move Gap - promote young things living with much older men - is that the All American image you want to promote.

SJP may have been over the hill, but atleast she is a trendsetter with a happy healthy home.

Tuesday

Tuesday: The Final 9 contestants on American Idol go at it.

Tuesday:

  • The Final 9 contestants on American Idol go at it. The women are losing as we are down to 3. It was sad to see Jessica go last week since she has talent - maybe America will surprise us again this week.
  • The Amazing Race is all new - Ron and Kelly came in first last week and the brothers came back after a terrible car crash. Hopefully luck will be on the boys side this week.
  • Project Greenlight's third episode on Bravo HAS JUST MOVED to thursday - sorry for the confusion but Bravo does not know how to market and keep shows in the same time slot. Something else better happen soon of it's off TiVo next week.
  • The Shield is new on FX

Grey's Anatomy - Second Episode

This show continues to impress me and clearly many others folks agree.

This show continues to impress me and clearly many others folks agree. The audience grew to over 18M viewers which should make ABC happy. This show has proven itself as a fresh new medical drama, which is a very popular genre that has not been successful since ER.

Looks like next week we will finally see more life outside the hospital as the doc's move in together. It was great to also see different departments interact by bringing in the also terrified resident in the baby department.

The music is mixed in perfectly. The writing is creative yet not over done. It's nice to see the competition, the allies, and the love stories in the works without already making it look like they won't know what to do next season. The only slightly off thing last night was that the one of the head surgeon's did not recognize the penis the rape victim had bitten off - you would have think after the amount of experience he's had that he would be able to identify the body part - but i'll overlook it for the sake of the young gun guessing correctly.

I vote away with Boston Legal and more Grey's Anatomy on Sunday nights. It's the perfect complement to those nutty housewives.

Trippin on MTV tonight

Last week Trippin' debuted on MTV.

Last week Trippin' debuted on MTV. We watched Cameron Diaz, the lovely Eva Mendes, Redman, and Mark Hoppus from Blink 182 and travel to Nepal. I actually liked Cameron because I realized we both have a major fear of needles as she prepared to get vaccinations for her far away destinations. Another reason this show is interesting is that it is not just about Cameron and her silly laugh. She has a group of fun characters that help make things interesting, in this case, Redman was the outcast with the most.

You can actually learn something new from the show. It was somewhat educational - who would have thought Cameron could teach us about wildlife. The second episode airs tonight on MTV.
