Ben Affleck doesn't want to be a superhero. After dressing up as Daredevil and Superman in Hollywoodland, he has announced that it is actually embarrassing for him to be wearing tights. At a recent press conference in the UK for Hollywoodland, Ben said:

"By playing a superhero in Daredevil, I have inoculated myself from ever playing another superhero. Wearing a costume was a source of humiliation for me and something I wouldn't want to do again soon."

Brad has been busy building homes and doing good while Angelina has been hard at work. Now word is the couple have evidently been threatened by al-Qaeda. As you know, they have been in Pune where Angelina is shooting A Mighty Heart. The film is based on the life of Daniel Pearl, the journalist who was murdered by a group calling itself the National Movement for the Restoration of Pakistani Sovereignty in 2002 in Pakistan. Ironically, the couple chose to shoot in Pune instead of Pakistan for safety reasons. Here's more:

British security experts were flown to Pune earlier this week, after being alerted by neighbouring Pakistan that the couple might be targeted because of the political nature of the film. The terror fear is also said to be the reason behind the decision to shoot the movie in Pune, as opposed to Pakistan, where the events actually took place.

After assessing the inputs from various intelligence agencies, India has provided the couple with Y category security while in Pune, Intelligence Bureau sources said in New Delhi on Thursday.

Sumner Redstone may still be running around town badmouthing Tom Cruise, but Tom has moved on with his life and he's not looking back. He and longtime producing partner Paula Wagner are now to run United Artists, the film studio originally formed by Charlie Chaplin. Here's more

Wagner will serve as chief executive of the company, which is owned by Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Inc. Cruise will appear in UA films, but also be allowed to star in films from rival studios, MGM announced Thursday.

The development is a major comeback for Cruise and Wagner. They were unceremoniously dumped in August from their 14-year producing deal at Paramount Studios after Sumner Redstone, chairman of Paramount parent company Viacom Inc., blamed Cruise's public antics for hurting the box office performance of "Mission:Impossible III."

Cruise/Wagner Productions said then that it had secured financing from two unidentified hedge funds to back future projects.

MGM said Thursday that Cruise and Wagner have taken an ownership interest in UA, but did not specify financial terms.

The pair will have full control of the production slate, which is expected to be four films a year, MGM said.

I can't believe Tom managed to do this deal two weeks before his wedding. This is a huge deal in the image turnaround for Mr. Cruise. There really is no stopping this man.

Kate Winslet has four Oscar nominations under her belt and is rumored to be getting another one come this spring. But things haven't always gone so smoothly for the actress. She recently opened up to Parade Magazine about fame, love and lots of things in between. She tells the magazine that during the filming of Sense and Sensibility, her boyfriend, television writer Stephen Tredre was diagnosed with cancer. They broke up before his death in 1997. Instead of celebrating with her co-stars at the Titanic premiere, she was attending Tredre's funeral. Here's highlights:

On Tredre's death she says:

“I was so young, when I look back on it. Only 19. How could I have left a person who was so unwell? I thought Stephen was going to be all right....It was unbelievably heartbreaking. All I have left is that we remained very close until the end.

On life after Titanic:

Looking back, I see what I was dealing with when Titanic came out. I had a lot of pain and I was confused about who I was….I didn’t know how to deal with it. I sensed that great life changes were impending. I had to hang on by the seat of my pants and not get drawn into public events and endless red carpets.”

On her life now with director Sam Mendes:

“I believe in fate. I know it sounds corny, but it was like Sam and I were from the same tribe. We were meant to meet: Both of us from Reading, both born in the same tiny hospital, Dellwood. Then suddenly, years later, this totally gorgeous, sexy, talented man is in my life? That’s fate. I love being married to Sam and I love motherhood more than anything. It’s like it’s the whole reason for my existence now. Sam’s a wonderful dad. We have a beautiful, healthy son. Oh, lucky, lucky us, to be so genuinely happy.”

Nicole Richie doesn't seem to be too worried about the fact that she can't put on weight. Only three days after she went into rehab at Beau Monde for an eating disorder (she says doesn't exist), she reportedly cut her treatment short to go shopping. Here's more:

The staffers at Beau Monde begged her to stay, reports [Star Magazine], which quotes a source as saying, “Nicole is in complete denial and oblivious to how sick she really is.”

Not long after she checked out of the center, Richie was spotted partying with Lindsay Lohan according to both the Star and another report in In Touch Weekly.

Soon after that she reportedly passed out and had to be carried out of Hyde. But of course, her rep is denying that too. We were so relieved to hear that she was getting help for her eating disorder even if she wasn't ready to call it that yet. I wonder what it will take to get through to her.

The Tom and Katie wedding extravaganza is soon approaching and guests still don't know the location of the wedding. It seems like Tom is doing everything in his power to keep the location a secret to avoid reporters and unwanted guests. Here's more:

Most of the 120 guests will be flown to Rome on Thursday, Nov. 16, two days before the wedding, an insider tells Life & Style. “Tom has it planned like a military operation,” says the insider. “From the airport, guests will be spirited to various hotels in groups of 10. They won’t learn the wedding location until they’re brought there on Saturday!”

Wow, I guess that's one way to avoid the press. It seems like he doesn't want anything to spoil his and Katie's big day. If Katie is worried about it she isn't letting it show. I don't know who I love more, these kids or George Clooney. We watched the precious Little Ant and Dec interview Victoria Beckham and we fell in love with her - yes we said her. Now we watch George being interviewed by the duo and we just can't get enough of these two. So cute.
