We are still mourning the sad news about Reese and Ryan's split but at the same time we are elated about the Britney news. We love that she filed for divorce leaving K-Fed behind, and now we're hearing that K-Fed was planning to divorce Britney too. Apparently Kevin has been secretly meeting with lawyers since May and was even planning on using Sean P as leverage, but Brit beat him to it. L&S reports:

“Kevin is focused on his tour,” says an insider. “I don’t think he was prepared for this.” When contacted by Life & Style, Kevin’s rep seemed to have no idea that Britney had filed divorce papers. In fact, insiders say Kevin was preparing a divorce bombshell of his own.

As early as last May, Kevin, 28, began secretly meeting with his lawyer, Mark Kaplan, to work out a settlement deal with Britney, 24. Kevin was prepared to use their son, Sean Preston, now 1, as leverage: If Britney didn’t give Kevin $10 million, plus their $10 million Malibu mansion, he would sue her for custody, claims an insider. “Kevin knows that Sean is Britney’s Achilles’ heel,” an insider says.

But the couple stayed together through the birth of their second son, Jayden James, now 2 months. Yet Life & Style knows that Kevin recently went back to his lawyer for more secret divorce talks — and this time, he had two babies to use as pawns. He was hoping to score a $30 million payday.

“He feels like $10 million is not a generous amount if he and Britney split since he won’t have any part of his sons’ lives,” says an insider.

But Britney was too quick for him. While Kevin was caught up with his troubled album-release tour, she filed papers of her own asking for legal and physical custody of Sean and Jayden — before the couple reached any kind of deal.

“There was no way she was going to let Kevin lead the way on this subject,” says a close friend of Kevin’s. “She filed first to save face. It’s all about taking care of the babies and keeping the money.”

And Brit’s prenup should be airtight. According to the prenup, Kevin will receive $300,000, any gifts Britney bought him that cost less than $10,000 and half the value of their $10 million Malibu mansion.

You go girl! Can you imagine if Kevin had slapped the papers on Brit first? And if he was really planning to use Sean P as leverage, he's just a total jerk who deserves to be kicked to the curb. Let the K-Fed backlash begin.

LL went on Oprah yesterday to promote her new film, Bobby. This would have made much bigger headlines had Britney not decided to go and file for divorce and all. Anyway, LL has definitely been working hard to get away from her party girl image, at least on the interview circuit. "I hate that!" she said when it came up. Even though we repeatedly see pics of LL coming and going from clubs she denies being that girl. Still, when Oprah asked her if she thinks she deserves her reputation she responded:

"No. I mean, I've been acting my whole life. And this is what I love to do. And I'm very lucky and blessed to be able to do that."

Not that she doesn't like to have a good time. "I'm 20 years old," she says. "Is it a crime to go … dancing with your friends? I have a life and I have my family and I have work and I have those three things."

Beyonce's new album may not be as upbeat as we're used to hearing, but she wants us all to know that doesn't mean she's unhappy. Beyonce tells Elle magazine in their December issue that we should not read into the lyrics too much since she's not singing about her personal life. She said, "Even though I'm very happy and I don't have any drama in my life, I didn't want to do another album full of love songs. I did that last time. It's boring." Oh B, don't worry. We'll never see you as boring!

Elle Macpherson is glowing right through her top at this VIP Charity Event in London. Maybe it's all the good karma she received after dropping her plans to file a lawsuit against Heidi Klum last month. If you remember, she was angry with Heidi for stealing her nickname, The Body but decided to let it go after an inspirational meeting with the Dalai Lama. It looks, however, that she may stand to gain her nickname back, especially if she continues to wear see through clothing!

At a bash for Federline's album release at club Xenii in L.A. on October 31, the couple, say sources, had an explosive argument. While Federline worked the crowd (onstage earlier in the night he yelled, "Ladies, I love you!"), Spears was hidden away in an upstairs dressing room.

Before Halloween night was officially over, the pop star, dressed in a black minidress and barefoot, made a dramatic exit. "She ran down the stairs crying and stormed out," a witness says. "Her eyes were swollen and her eyeliner was smudged. She looked like a complete mess." Federline didn't run after his wife.

Kylie was so happy after landing back home in Sydney on Sunday that she literally jumped for joy. "We're on tour again, whoa!" she yelled in excitement. And she does have so much to be excited about. She's cancer-free and already back working on everything that is Kylie. Her children's book was just released, and she has a brand new fragrance coming out on Wednesday. On top of all of that she's about to go on tour for six weeks. Here's more:

She's Down Under to prepare for her much-anticipated Showgirl Homecoming Tour which kicks off in Sydney on Saturday night. "I'm thrilled to be back," she said as she arrived. "I've been looking forward to this for such a long time." The tour was postponed when Kylie was diagnosed with cancer in May 2005, and its resumption marks a full return to health for the popular singer.

During her comeback show, which ends in London in the New Year, she is expected to dazzle fans in a range of new costumes designed by top names including Dolce & Gabbana and Karl Lagerfeld for Chanel. UK fans who don't manage to catch her live on stage will still be able to see some of her most spectacular outfits. London's Victoria & Albert museum is due to cement her status as a modern style icon by dedicating an exhibition to her. "This is our first exhibition dedicated to a pop star," said a spokeswoman at the prestigious fashion and design museum.
