Kudos to Jon Stewart for a job well done even though he is already getting criticized as a host. They say the big stars just don't get him. Critics can be so harsh.

I loved some of his clever jokes like the Dick Cheney shot Bjork, the Walk the Line was Ray for white people and then the recruiting for Scientology - very funny Jon Stewart style. He was quick and smart and should be happy with his performance. Hopefully it will reflect in the ratings which we will know more about in the morning. Lohan say No to parties without a goodie bag
At least that's the rumor. She apparently left a Dior party at the Chateau Marmont after being told that there were no gift bags.

Clooney's ONE Party
The big charity that George, Brad and Bono are all a part of had a party at the Chateau Marmont the other night. Too bad things didn't go as planned. Page Six reports it was extremely unorganized and celebs like Catherine Keener, Ellen DeGeneres and Keira Knightley were tightly packed in the lobby spilling drinks and more.

Hollywood couples looked their finest tonight. Here were the few that I though really shined.

Yes, J Lo was looking her finest and even Marc cleaned up for the big event (although he still does nothing for me). Other worthy things to note: Nicole sitting next to Keith at the awards during the show but we did not see him on the red carpet. We also don't know if Ben Affleck joined presenter/wife Jennifer Garner at the show. Hilary Swank walked the carpet solo but she looked to be a wearing her wedding ring unless it was a huge diamond by some designer. We're hoping it was a sign of her and Chad reconciliation but who knows - it could have been a ring on loan for the evening. Cash Warren was by Jessica Alba's side but like the gentleman he is, he let her do her thing. Hopefully more couple news will be available soon so stay tuned.

Wow what an evening. More to come on the actual show but here's the red carpet round up. Nothing crazy to report on the E! pre-show. Issac was on his best behaviour and did not grab any boobs and stayed away from the underwear questions. Smart move Issac. Here are a few of my favorites!

These girls were having a blast on the red carpet. Reese knew it was her night and you could tell. Jessica Alba continued to be her sexy self and we were happy to see Jennifer Garner in her first really big appearance looking fabulous. Motherhood seems to be treating her well (she even handled her on stage almost trip very gracefully).

Jennifer's diamonds were insane. She did her classic look and as always she looks beautiful. Nicole looks super skinny but that dress is a beauty and we expected nothing less from her. Salma's curves looked amazing in this dress which was one of my favorites of the evening.

Sorry to say these were probably my least favorite (keep in mind I am only talking about the Oscar red carpet folks for now). Both Keira and Charlize look stunning as far as makeup and overall super star status but I am not a fan of the mermaid style dress on Keira or the huge bow on Charlize.

I was too busy watching Walk the Line and Hustle and Flow last night to get me in the Oscar mood and I missed Natalie Portman on SNL. Luckily, I have it on TiVo since this rap from last night looks hilarious. This is one of the reasons you have to love this girl. She doesn't take herself too seriously and that's the best type of actress in Hollywood.

Brokeback Mountain took home the best picture award at the Independent Spirit Awards yesterday. Ang Lee also won for best director. Could this be what we can expect for tonight's Oscars? We hope so! Along with the cute Michelle and Heath, others at the event include the Olsen twins, Felicity Huffman, Sandra Oh and more. Here's more on the winners.

Jared Leto put on 50 pounds perhaps to get his chance at an Oscar next year. He is still in the process of losing the weight but here he is at a pre-Oscar party on Friday. Not sure what kind of event is was since he looks like he just rolled out of bed. I'm also not even going near the bulge in his pants comments - I'll leave that for your imaginations to ponder. Jared will be back on tour with his band, 30 Seconds to Mars this month so we bet he'll be able to shed those extra pouds very quickly.
