Beyonce shows off her rocks in Cannes at the premiere screening of selected scenes of Dreamgirls. While in town to promote the movie, she spoke about losing over 20 lbs while filming. Turns out Tom Hanks was her inspiration. Who knew? People reports:
"At the beginning (of filming), I was my normal weight," she said. "I actually gained a little bit, but then I lost 20 lbs. when I went from young Deena to old Deena. I wanted it to be something more than just make-up and hair. I wanted to see the change."
"The director (Bill Condon) actually kept telling me to 'eat, eat, eat' for continuity, but I really wanted to go all the way. I was inspired by Tom Hanks. He did it all the way (in Castaway), so I said, I can do it all the way!"
Word is that the folks a Cannes were very impressed by the selected scenes they saw of the movie. They are already talking Oscar. Too bad we have to wait until December to see it.
Poor Britney just had about the worst week ever and everyone is still showing various videos and pictures of her almost dropping her son. We'd rather post the one picture most have not seen yet. We'll even overlook the hideous open back shirt with the exposed black bra, visible thong and nasty hair extensions to share in special moment between a mother and her son.
Jessica Alba is shooting a promo for the MTV Movie Awards which she will host on June 8th. Looks like she is going back to her Dark Angel roots for this one.

I would have loved to have seen this. Apparently Tommy Hilfiger started an insane fight at Plumm last night. It was Rosario Dawson's birthday party and the fight erupted after Axl Rose moved Tommy Hilfiger's girlfriend's drink. Axl Rose said Tommy "just kept smacking me." NY Post reports:
"First [Axl and Tommy] were sitting. Then they were pulling on each other . . . It got so out of control," said a shocked witness.
As the punch-up escalated, Hilfiger introduced Rose to some "November Pain" with a blow to the cheek. Club guards quickly tried to separate the men.
"A bunch of security ran over - but Tommy would not back down. He was just out to take him down," the witness said.

Matthew McConaughey walks his dog Foxy while on the set of We Are Marshall in Atlanta. The man rolls out of bed and is still super sexy. Too bad he is wearing some ugly version of Uggs. That almost kills the entire look - besides, is it that cold in Atlanta that he would need those warm shoes?
Well we got to see his hot hairless face for a few days but it looks like Jakey G went back to the beard look. We hope he starts working on a new movie soon so we can see that cute face of his that he always tries to cover up.

So where was Kevin while Britney was making the rounds and taking some serious hits in NYC? Hanging in Malibu with his friends doing the usual. I can see where Britney is getting the inspiration for Sean P's side hat look. It would be nice to see Kevin step up and defend his pregnant stressed out wife. Where's the love?
