JT is in Paris promoting his new "club funk" sound. He did an interview with MTV to discuss the direction of his new album. What I like about JT (besides the fact that I am a sucker for a POP star) is that he really seems to take his career seriously. He is always passionate about whatever it is he is working on. We always look forward to anything JT may be doing in the future, including marrying Cameron. MTV reports:

Timberlake modeled himself after David Bowie and Prince, and describes "SexyBack" as Bowie and David Byrne covering James Brown's "Sex Machine." "That's the closest I could come," he said. "That's all of my influences for that song."

"SexyBack" doesn't qualify as rock or straight funk — and for now, Timberlake's happy with the description "club funk."

"I like that," he said. "Anything that I do and anything Timbaland does is going to be funky. That's a rule of thumb. And that's how the song got started, going more dance rock, club funk. There are people out there pushing the boundaries of music; Gnarls Barkley, the Red Hot Chili Peppers, they always push themselves. The most you can hope for is music that pushes your sound as much as they push theirs."

Speaking of Jenny McCarthy, Carmen seems to have gotten a little wet like Jenny did on Howard Stern and Fergie did in concert. However, to Carmen's defense, she was seen leaving a salon so maybe she just got grossly sweaty. BTW, we have not seen a public outing with Carmen and Dave recently. I hope the splitting rumors are not true. 2006 seems to be more of a year about weddings and babies unlike last year's long list of break-ups and divorces.

For some reason I am so enjoying watching these two come out to us. As reported before J&J have been dating quietly for a few months but were waiting until it was serious before making it public. Now they are happily enjoying walks on the beach, sushi dates and concerts like Radiohead and Fiona Apple. People reports:

Holding hands at the June 29 Radiohead concert in Los Angeles, the pair "were having so much fun," says a fellow concertgoer. "It was like you were watching a romantic comedy."

The 44-year-old comedian, says a source close to him, "is very happy."

As is McCarthy, who has been uncharacteristically mum about her new love. "I'm so brutally honest and tell people everything about my personal life, it's really hard not to," she told Access Hollywood, adding that Carrey is "an amazing person."

The couple have more than just a silly streak in common: Carrey has a daughter, 18-year-old Jane, with first wife Melissa Womer; McCarthy has a son, 4-year-old Evan, with director John Asher. (McCarthy and Asher filed for divorce last August.)

For now, the twosome seem focused on simply having a good time. "They were laughing and smiling," says an observer at the Radiohead concert. "They just look like such a great couple."

I like that they both have kids. They seem to really fit with one another. They must be cracking each other up all the time. Although he has been getting some flack for his latest hair do, I think it looks great on him. He looks younger to me now, but that could also just be the look of love.

Posters for the new Jessica Simpson movie, Employee of the Month, have been released. The comedy takes place in a warehouse discount store where Dax Shepard and Dane Cook compete to win Employee of the Month. The focus of the movie becomes about these two guys fighting for Jessica's attention. I have seen only one clip of the movie so far with Dane and Jess and it looked really goofy but not in a good way.
