Madonna celebrated her 48th birthday last night at London's Lounge Lover club with her best friends and loving husband. She was looking fabulous in Roberto Cavalli. Can you believe the girl is almost 50? She even performed earlier that night and concert goers serenaded her with a happy birthday. Here's more:

Midway through her performance the backing singers urged the crowd to serenade her, stopping the Material Girl dead in her tracks. Stunned, she said afterwards, "I cannot think of a better way to spend my birthday than with you tonight." Madonna then said her birthday wish would be for world peace. The Wembley Arena gig concluded the London leg of the singer's world tour.
Kirsten Dunst plays Marie Antoinette in Sofia Coppola's upcoming film, which has already created Oscar buzz. It's Sofia's largest budgeted project to date. The film is based on Marie's both fabulous and tragic life, and was mainly filmed on location at Versailles. In the movie Kirsten wears gorgeous gowns by Alexander McQueen and John Galliano, and now we get to see Kirsten in these gowns on the pages of Vogue. Here's an excerpt from Vogue:
Sofia Coppola's film Marie Antoinette, covering the nineteen years that fabulous and tragic woman spent at Versailles, created a sensation when it opened earlier this year in France. It was filmed largely on location in the palace, with unswerving support from the directors of the museum. For the two leading actors—Kirsten Dunst as the young queen and Coppola's cousin Jason Schwartzman as King Louis XVI—it was a transformative experience to walk in rustling silk and tapping heels through halls filled with ghosts. For Dunst, exquisitely but unstuffily costumed by Milena Canonero (who deserves an Oscar for this work), it was a very sensual role. "You breathe differently in those dresses; you move in a special way," Dunst says. To prepare herself, on the night a scaled-down crew was filming her in the emotionally charged balcony scene, she walked alone through the palace in the dark. "I could look in those mirrors," she says. "Be still in myself. Feel my place in that house."

Kelly Clarkson was watching Metal Skool in LA on Monday. They recognized the American Idol star and brought her on stage. JT is receiving backlash for his American Idol comments. He supposedly bashed Taylor Hicks and said he couldn't "carry a tune in a bucket". Now his publicist is saying that comment was taken out of context. Here's more:
Ken Sunshine, Timberlake’s representative, said the 25-year-old singer’s comments “were taken completely out of context.”
“He has tremendous affection for Taylor Hicks’ success,” Sunshine told The Associated Press on Thursday. “He would never say anything that personal about somebody he’s never met. He only wishes him the best.”
Here's the latest on Mel and Haley who were both busted for drunk driving. Shows how old Hollywood status reigns over the former child stars. Haley was charged on 4 accounts while Mel plead no contest to DUI and has made an agreement which includes a lot of AA meetings. TMZ reports:
Gibson has agreed to three years probation, but will avoid jail time. Gibson was ordered to attend one year of AA meetings. For the first four-and-a-half months he must attend five times a week. For the remainder of the time, he must attend three times a week. Gibson must also pay $1200 in fines and penalties as well as one hundred dollars in restitution.

So Pam really did want four weddings. It has been announced that Pam Anderson and Kid Rock got married again, this time in Nashville. So that means they partied in St Tropez, Detroit and now Nashville. However, they were technically married on August 3rd in LA. Confused yet? Here's more on their most recent ceremony:
Pamela Anderson and Kid Rock said "I do" at a fabled Nashville honky-tonk in the early hours of Thursday morning.
A Nashville judge performed the ceremony — one of several around the world — just after midnight at Tootsie's Orchid Lounge, said Kirt Webster, Kid Rock's Nashville-based publicist.
The bride and groom both wore white — hers a minidress and his a tank top.
The newlyweds partied for a few hours following the ceremony at a Nashville restaurant and planned another party for Thursday night at an undisclosed location, he said.
Beyonce went on a liquid diet to lose 20 pounds really quickly for her role in Dreamgirls. Apparently there were rumors she did this through a maple syrup-based diet so she addressed the rumors. Here's more:
"It was a liquid diet where you lose weight really fast," the singer, 24, told Britain's GMTV morning show Thursday when asked about rumors that she'd lost weight on a maple syrup-based regimen. "I would not recommend it if someone wasn't doing a movie, because there are other ways to lose weight.
"But I needed to lose it really quick, and I put the weight back on as soon as I finished, so I am no smaller or bigger than I've always been. It was strictly for the movie."
But she's happy her liquid-diet days are over. "The funniest part was putting the weight back on and eating my doughnuts and all the other things," she said. "So now I'm back to my body. I'm very conscious of being a curvy woman and I'm very happy that I am a curvy woman."
I think Beyonce is doing image control to let us know her new hot body still has some booty.

Eva topped the Maxim's Hot 100 two years in a row and now she is taking it off again for the cover of the September issue. They can't get enought of her. I would love to see the original photo before they made her skin look perfect. In the interview she talks about making it in Hollywood, Tony, plastic surgery and her obsession with celeb gossip. Here are some highlights:
On her love for Tony, "We spend most of our time in San Antonio. We have such a normal life there. I mean, we hang out and have breakfast, go to his parents, go to my parents. Do laundry. Get the cars washed. Then I’m back in L.A. for two seconds, and I have 40 cars following me and a tabloid says I’m dead because of a fender bender. The hunger for gossip is out of control.”
On how life in L.A. is different, "Well, in L.A. everyone’s beautiful, but it’s so superficial. Everyone relies on their beauty and feels like they don’t have to do anything else. But when you meet someone, and there’s substance to them, when they’re defined by their morals, not “who they know”—that’s a rare thing."
And on her obsession with celeb gossip, “Nobody wants to hear a celebrity whine. It’s like, Oh, poor you! But I felt so bad for Britney Spears after that interview she did [with Matt Lauer]. My heart just broke for her.”
