Things for Britney are just continuing to get worse. She was so exhausted she either collapsed or fell asleep at her own NYE party which prompted rumors of a possible stint in rehab. Here we see more from that night where she drops the F-bomb to her crowd. Now we hear bad news on her comeback album. Apparently it's been put on hold. Rumor is - it stinks! Here's more:

While in New York she was in the studio recording for Jive Records. She worked some nights until 4 a.m. laying down tracks for a new CD. She thinks it's the makings of a really great album. They don't.

Talk inside the company is that either it's redone, or they need to drop it - and her. When this recording session began, she'd just dumped Federline the Insect. It was not a good time in her life. To recharge her career, she reconnected with her long-ago first-time manager, the one who originally brought her to the heights, Larry Rudolph.

But constant headlined misbehavior is stoking the problem. Jive fears she's alienating her fan base. Their fan base. Jive caters to a young music-buyer, and the continued atmosphere - drinking, bingeing, partying, whatevering, photos with no panties for a mother of two infants - is hitting sour notes. Besides, Jive is not in sync with the five tracks Brit delivered. Conversation in their offices is: If we bear the expense of a redo, is it possible that, down the road, because of the way she's going, we could end up with a really bad product? Or one that won't sell?

The recording has stopped midway. Nothing more's been done because the company doesn't yet know what it wants to do. But that recent front page ain't helping.

When asked for comment Larry Rudolph said, "I don't know where your information came from, but I can only tell you we're in the middle of recording an album. And you can quote me on that." That's not exactly denying any of the bad rumors, but let's hope she gets rest and back to work to create something exciting.

Last season's AI runner up Katharine McPhee rode in the Rose Bowl Parade and is now gearing up for the release of her new album. Her self-titled debut hits stores on January 30th, but you can hear the new single 'Get Over It' on AOL's First Listen. AOL Music is also previewing four other songs from the album and commentary from Katharine. There has been a lot of news around the Idol contestants these days. We can't wait for the new season of AI to kick off in a couple of weeks.

Jamie-Lynn Sigler was another celeb who enjoyed a New Year's holiday in the Miami sun. She may have battled an eating disorder in the past, but she now looks healthy and fit in her little black bikini. We can't wait for the 7th season of The Sopranos. HBO is airing Season 6 again starting January 16th to get us all geared up for the premiere of the new season this spring. Wonder what will be in store for Meadow next season!

Cute Carmen hosted the Gridlock New Year's Eve 2007 event the other night with Andy Dick in Hollywood. The single lady didn't look at all sad to be spending her NYE without a man, and even had someone in mind for a new year's kiss. When asked who her midnight kiss would come from she said, "Um...I don't know, maybe my hairdresser?" We know how much Hollywood starlets love their BFF hairdressers. Besides, kissing him had to be a better option than Andy Dick.

Jessica and Cash spent their New Year's holiday in Miami soaking up the sun, romping in the surf, and hitting the town. Jessica hosted a party and those who attended must have been super excited since she recently topped a Blockbuster poll of fantasy New Year's Eve dates. Others on the list included Johnny Depp, Scarlett Johansson and George Clooney. The interesting thing is that respondents said they were more interested in being friends with stars than actually hooking up with them. The way guys talk about Jessica, we never would have guessed that one! As far as I know the men can never get enough of Jessica bikini pics. Happy hump day, boys.

Whitney is working on her comback and that means cleanning out her closet. After getting out of rehab and dumping Bobby she almost lost her $6 million house in Morris County because she owed thousands in taxes. Apparently she is about to rake in a ton of cash by selling off hundreds of her stage costumes, intimate apparel and other personal belongings. Here's more:

Among the items on the block are 13 of Houston's Dolce & Gabbana bustier bras adorned with animal prints and sequins; four velvet bodysuits with "WH" logos; six black stretch pants; several gold, black, white and red evening dresses; and 16 wardrobe cases.

In addition, Houston is selling off musical instruments and props used in her stage shows over the years, including pianos, keyboards, drums, synthesizers, speakers and amplifiers. Among the more unusual items are a slot machine, a leather whip and a chair described as "Whitney's throne."

Some of her soon-to-be ex's possessions are also on the block, including "16 assorted Bobby Brown music awards."

The money may not be going to charity but it's worth it if Whitney can stay sober and concentrate on her new album. It's much easier to focus on your comeback when you don't have to worry about paying the bills!

As expected, rumors are running wild that Justin and Cameron are over and he is already being attached to a new blonde. We heard JT and Scarlett may be working together on a music video but now some assume there is something more going on. It's all speculation but the latest is that JT and Cammie have been over for 2 weeks now and we may expect to see him coming out with Scarlett sometime soon.
