Carrie and the Thrill of the Chace
Carrie Underwood brought her favorite new companion, Gossip Girl's Chace Crawford, along with her to hit up the NYC talk show circuit promoting Carnival Ride yesterday morning. Hey, if a girl wants to gaze into her boytoy's "beautiful blue eyes," can't blame her for having him tag along. Chace is certainly on the upswing with his fame, but he's definitely a lucky boy getting to be with Carrie for now. If he's smart he'll stick around to be by her side on red carpets to come, including for her just announced performance at Movies Rock in December. Sounds like he's on the right track, calling ahead to dinner and making sure they have Cristal so he can toast her album's success. Well played. Who knows if this puppy love will last, but for now they're pretty freaking cute together, right?
I Want This Wardrobe: Gossip Girl
I Want This Wardrobe: Gossip Girl Is it me or is Jenny Humphrey getting more and more beautiful and stylish with each episode of Gossip Girl? Last night, when she was running errands for Blair in hopes of obtaining an invite to the masked ball, she wore a Kenzie Girl polka dot dress, a Marc by Marc Jacobs camel blazer and a Magical Pegasus bag.
Finally, A Good Look at Reese & Jake's Roman Lovefest!
Um, could Reese Witherspoon and Jake Gyllenhaal's Roman Holiday be any cuter? Earlier in the week we got a tiny glimpse at the two of them being all openly lovey in Italy and now here are a whole bunch more photos! So fun. Sure, there's something a little bit staged about the series, but shhhhh, they're adorable. Piggy back rides and gazing into each other's eyes — it doesn't get much better. Plus, there was gelato. Okay, okay, I'll quit with the gushing, but how could these pictures not make you smile?

Renee Digs Her Costars So Much She Copied Their Hair
Renee Zellweger headed back to her hotel after stopping by Live with Regis and Kelly this morning in NYC. Even her cool trench coat and sunglasses weren't enough to distract us from her horrible haircut — what stylist let that happen? Renee is making the rounds to promote Bee Movie, and she recently talked to Reader's Digest about working with Jerry on the animated film. She even dished a little about Clooney too. Here's more:
- On working with Jerry:
I had the best time working with him. Talk about looking forward to going to the office. To watch as he’s coming up with something, you can see it: Oh, it’s brewing, it’s happening. Ah, what’s it going to be? And then out it spills, and it’s brilliant. - On being friends with George:
You know, we have a lovely relationship. I write him six-page e-mails about my political rage, and he writes back, and cares too.
It sounds like Renee has no shortage of exciting men in her life (even though both of these two are already taken), so maybe all she needs is to grow her hair out a bit and get back in the game.
Orlando's Got a Brand New Girl
Orlando Bloom may be trying to keep a low profile since his recent car crash but as the LAPD investigate the situation, the rumor mill has already moved on to his love life. Apparently Orlando is hooking up with model Miranda Kerr, who he's been friends with for awhile. The two were recently spotted in East Hampton, and Orlando even went to support his new lady at a Victoria's Secret party last week. Hopefully Miranda can help keep Orlando's spirits up as the investigation continues.
Private Practice Rundown: Episode 5, "In Which Addison Finds a Showerhead"
Private Practice Rundown: Episode 5, "In Which Addison Finds a Showerhead" Remember all that lovely character development Private Practice delivered us last week? This week, not so much. When I said I wanted to learn more about the inner workings of these characters beyond Oceanside, I wasn't asking for an episode largely devoted to the topic of self-pleasure
Diddy Expands His Empire
Fashion designer, fragrance creator, and music producer/rapper Diddy debuted his latest endeavor yesterday: Ciroc Vodka. Diddy will help develop the brand in a deal which could get him more than $100 million. He held a press conference in NYC to announce the news and discuss how involved he'll be in the branding. Here's more:
"It is not an endorsement deal," Combs told The Associated Press on Tuesday night. "This is something that will have my daily attention." Combs said he wanted to work with Diageo because the company understood that "I'm not just a celebrity endorser, I'm a brand builder. I'm a luxury brand builder."
Combs said he will be responsible for everything from marketing the brand to deciding where to sell it, and will focus on attracting "movers and shakers" to the line. "They're looking for something that tastes like their lifestyle. It's that trendsetter, that hipster, someone who's looking for luxury and looking for something better."
He's definitely got a knack for business, branding, and making money including the best selling celebrity fragrance of the year. In fact, he even said that he's planning on spending some of his earnings on a few fancy gifts for J Lo's new little one(s).
Love It or Hate It? Jessica Biel's White Lip Look
Love It or Hate It? Jessica Biel's White Lip Look Check out Jessica Biel in the parking lot the other day in LA. Girlfriend's got some seriously pale lips! It looks like all the blood has rushed out of them—somebody get her some plumper to get the circulation going in her mouth!
Sean and Emile Go Into the Wild in Rome
Though he lost his Malibu trailer home over the weekend, it didn't seem to be any skin off Sean Penn's back as he premiered Into the Wild at the Rome Film Festival last night. Penn, the film's director, and his star Emile Hirsch went casual for the photocall and dressed like twins for the red carpet premiere. Seems kinda like a father/son relationship with these two, right? After excusing his somewhat haggard appearance by saying that he had "too many rums and red wine" the night before, Sean talked a bit about his love of directing. He said:
"That's something that has changed over the years," he said. "I've increasingly fallen in love with this job of directing movies. The way that those things are chosen are very similar to how you choose a partner in life. You see her, you fall in love with her, you're stuck."
Stuck, eh? Sounds romantic. It sounds like Sean has caught the directing bug like so many of his contemporaries, and seeing him side by side with Emile, I wouldn't be surprised if his pint-sized protege wants to follow in his footsteps. Thankfully Sean's got at least one in front of the camera project coming up, so we won't be losing the actor side of him just yet.
