Tom Cruise was joined by his friends, family and costars on the red carpet at the premiere of Lions for Lambs in LA last night. Katie looked great in Berlin, but she went even more glamorous last night. Also there to support Tom was his stylish BFFs Will and Becks. It's Tom's time to show off his movie, but he recently took the time to gush about his wife. He said, "I have a lot of respect for [Katie] as an artist, as a woman. She's a very strong, gracious woman. She's very funny, a great comedian." Some of you don't have a lot of faith in Katie's acting skills, but it sounds like Tom can't say enough kind words about her. Of course, being the mother of his adorable little girl may make him a bit biased but we can't blame him.

Ben was front and center at Jennifer Garner's official Broadway debut in Cyrano de Bergerac, alongside her illustrious costars Kevin Kline and Daniel Sunjata. Afterwards Jen flashed her big grin alongside her director, David Leveaux, at the after party. It's been a never ending string of red carpets for Ben (he must have accrued quite the suit collection), but this one was probably one of the most special. You were overwhelmingly positive about the chance to see Jennifer during her 10 week run and it sounds like it's all deserved. The New York Times described Jennifer as "captivating," "comfortable" and that she "radiates megawatt beauty." It has been quite the fall for the Garner-Afflecks. Ben and Jen are both rolling in the good reviews today — yay — but their daughter is always going to get the most gushing raves.

Britney Spears looked, gasp, normal in her sweater and jeans out with her friend Sam yesterday afternoon. Dare I say that the lightened hair color that Brit debuted with her (blech) Halloween outfit looks pretty good? Her afternoon was interrupted, however, when a man came and served Britney with papers. Her former manager, Johnny Wright, is suing the pop star for not paying commissions owed. Britney stopped working with Wright Entertainment Group in 2003, but Brit was supposed to pay them through 2008 for deals worked out under their watch. Brit stopped paying them in December 2006, about when this whole spiral started. I'm sure this will all be worked out soon, and it's not like Britney is hurting for cash. TMZ just got hold of court documents detailing monthly money spent by both Britney and Kevin, including her whopping 102K on entertainment, etc and 16K on clothes per month. Hey, at least that new number one album will help cover all her many many costs.

Johnny Depp is intensely personal, so it's always a special treat when we get to hear him open up. He recently chatted with EW and melted our hearts talking about the scare back in March when his daughter Lily-Rose got very sick after an accident at their farm. Here's more:

"To say it was the darkest moment, that's nothing. It doesn't come close to describing it. Words are so small. But knowing that those people, Tim and the crew, shut down and stood by and waited ... I didn't know if I was coming back. I remember talking with Tim, saying, `Maybe you need to recast.' Now every single millisecond is a mini-celebration. Every time we get to breathe in and exhale is a huge victory. She pulled through beautifully, perfectly, with no lasting anything. Once we were given the all-clear, I had to dive back into the work. I had to get back in there for Tim."

We couldn't be happier for Johnny that Lily-Rose pulled through and made a full recovery, and we're selfishly glad that he was able to finish his work on Sweeney Todd. You can't really go wrong with Johnny and Tim working together.

Nick Lachey kept it culturally relevant with his costume this year dressing up as D*** in a Box for his night out in LA. Maybe not the most unique costume (who didn't see a guy or ten wearing that this year?), but he was obviously having a blast. You know, not to be nitpicky, but his box is facing the wrong direction, he couldn't even take the time to grow some real facial hair, and he wasn't even wearing the gold chain/silly sunglasses? Okay, fine, that was a bit nitpicky. Sorry sorry, he looks cute and definite claps because I'm sure he was singing all night. Where was Vanessa to receive his generous present? Also, is that Joaquin he's with?

While America's Betty inspired Halloween costumes, Ferrera herself hit the gym with her boyfriend in LA instead of dressing up. The wardrobe she wears on Ugly Betty is probably enough to keep her feeling festive all year round. Speaking of Ms. Suarez, tonight's Broadway episode should be extra fun when Betty goes on a date with Gio to Wicked and somehow ends up on stage with Henry. Hopefully, the sneaking around won't ruin their relationship — after all the drama the two lovable geeks deserve a chance to actually be together.

Tina Fey and Alec Baldwin were spotted on the ice skating rink in NYC’s Rockefeller Center yesterday, filming an upcoming episode of the hilarious 30 Rock. Sadly, the show isn’t on tonight because of an hour long My Name is Earl, but next week is going to be an extra special episode starring none other than Nobel Prize winner Al Gore (also, David Schwimmer)! Can't wait to see their banter with one Tracy "Shark Week" Jordan. Gore's cameo is a part of NBC’s week of green programming, which I have a feeling might not sit well with Jack Donaghy. It’s hard to go a week without my 30 Rock, but seeing Tina and Alec skating in their matching sweaters makes me think a lot of funny is yet to come.
