Sweetheart Johnny Depp put on his best freaky Sweeney Todd face for this week's EW cover. Yesterday we read his amazingly sweet quotes about his daughter and working with his friend Tim, and now here's more from his awesome interview. Also, how cute is he in that picture with Tim Burton? Love them. Here's more:
EW: Did you let your family in on your Sweeney singing practice?
Depp: When I was doing the demos in Los Angeles, I came home and played it for Vanessa. That was one of the more frightening moments. You go I'm gonna fall on my face.
EW: What did they make of it?
Depp: They said, "Is that you?"
EW: Do the often weigh in on your performances?
Depp: After Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, [my family] went to see it. I hadn't seen it. I was waiting at home, and they came back. And my daughter came up and went, "You're really weird."
EW: So you haven't seen Charlie since then?
I still haven't. I find it so difficult to watch anything I'm in. I don't like to be aware of myself in that way. I love discovering moments on the set. But I can't stand the idea that I have to see it later.
Johnny is definitely a little bit weird, but in the best possible way. It's too bad that he doesn't like to watch himself on screen, because he's pretty great when he's up there.

While it was Tom's big night, David Beckham and Katie Holmes were definitely two of the best dressed on the red carpet last night at the Lions For Lambs premiere in LA. We can't blame Katie for staring at dreamy Becks — he was looking so hot that he inspired Fab to do her very first male celebrity style.
As for Katie, she looked like she was having a great time, but rumor has it that she and Tom didn't stay and mingle after the screening. Instead, they hopped on a plane headed east because Katie has been training to run this weekend's NYC marathon. Of course, no star in Hollywood can wear a dress that's even remotely loose without sparking a few pregnancy rumors, but Katie's rep has already assured us that a little brother or sister for Suri is not on the way just yet. While we would love to see a sibling for Suri, for now I'm sure she and Tom will make an excellent cheering section if Katie is really set to run the big race.
Cate Blanchett's dress wasn't doing much to squash those pregnancy rumors, joined by costars Geoffrey Rush and Abbie Cornish at a photocall for Elizabeth: The Golden Age in Australia today. She and her husband are set to take on the roles of artistic directors for the Sydney Theater Company in January, but are receiving backlash for not being properly qualified. When asked how Queen Elizabeth would have handled the situation, Cate said,
"She was a great patron of the arts... under her reign, Shakespeare and the English language flourished. So I can only hope that under our patronage, Australian writing at the Sydney Theatre Company flourishes in a similar way."
Cate has always struck us as one of Hollywood's more poised and graceful stars. We're sure that her dedication and talent will shine through no matter whether her role is on the big screen or behind the scenes at the theater.

Sienna Miller looks every bit the movie star on the December cover of British Vogue. She embodies the "Glamour" theme perfectly, but something about the picture just doesn't look like her. Between filming Hippie Hippie Shake and her active social life, Sienna found time to sit down and chat. The notoriously open star talked about her new London home, her social life, and her friendship with her The Edge of Love costar Keira Knightley. Here’s more:
- On her new house: “I want the sitting room to be like the sets in Performance… all red velvet curtains and satin cushions. But I want the kitchen to be French country-house-comfy, and my basement to be a naughty hamman den, all Moroccan tiles with a huge step pool in the middle of the room.”
- On Keira: “We both have such mad schedules… but we desperately keep in text!”
- On her social life: “The only thing I believe in print these days is the date…I mean, for God’s sake, I’m 25. I’m having a brilliant time, I like to party, and I love to work. I’ve never not shown up to work. I’m always on time. The press love to get pictures of me blinking so they can say how wrecked I am. I can’t win, but I’m not staying in just to satisfy them.”
It sounds like Sienna is an average 25 year old… oh yeah, except for the fame part. Even though she claims not to be a big party girl, she's certainly not afraid to have a little fun, no matter what the photos look like the next day. Maybe with these new movies she'll be as famous for her acting as she is for her social life.
The usually bubbly Hayden Panettiere looked a little down shopping in LA yesterday and after hearing about her week, we can see why. We've gotten used to watching her be invincible on Heroes, but on Tuesday Hayden and some of her activist friends ran into trouble in Japan when they tried to interfere with an annual dolphin hunting trip. Check out Pet to get the full story and read Hayden's reaction to the traumatizing event. Maybe being back in LA around her favorite costars will help lift her spirits.

The lovably quirky men of The Darjeeling Limited premiered their movie at the London Film Festival last night. Owen Wilson was too busy with his dates with Jessica Simpson (and other ladies) to attend, but the rest of the guys were there to represent. Gotta love Wes and Jason's old school bow ties while Adrien went for a black leather ensemble instead of his cool metallic suit. One thing they have in common is that these guys sure do love their long hair and while it's not the most clean cut way to go, it's part of their twinsies charm.

Kid Nation Kid Cracks Me Up (Again) "Holy Banana Bread!" I love this kid. Jared, the resident Socrates on Kid Nation, sold out and quickly emerged as "the Bill Gates of Bonanza City." Did he donate all his money to charity? Hell no. Every single penny went to his precocious little head. But the end result was priceless...
While we eagerly await the Spice Girls' return to the stage later this month at the Victoria's Secret show, here is the music video for their new single "Headlines (Friendship Never Ends)". The video premiered this afternoon on The Today Show website. You guys weren't so enthusiastic about the song, but maybe seeing the girls all together again will change your mind. The star of the video is Geri's abs, which we all know look phenomenal these days. I must admit it's kinda funny to see Posh singing (or, lip syncing) again, especially in her sassy black contraption. Check out the video and then let us know — love it or leave it?
After spending Halloween trick-or-treating with her family, Liv Tyler looked gorgeous yesterday launching her new ad campaign for Givenchy's Very Irresistible at Sephora in Times Square. In preparation for the event, Liv talked to WWD about spending the past four months filming The Incredible Hulk with Ed Norton and now she's ready to relax and pamper herself. She said, "I'm going to spend time with my boy [her son, Milo] and go to Bliss and get a facial and try to take care of myself." Relaxing at the spa and with her adorable son sounds like the perfect little vacation.
